As an IT Operations Engineer for the Data Platform Team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work on ensuring application reliability and working in a true DevOps environment, ensuring that infrastructure is running smoothly, increasing efficiency through automation, and driving a culture of continuous improvement. The responsibilities consist of both Engineering and Operations teams into a DevOps model, rigorously investing in product and platform reliability through software best practices. • Design, implement, and manage Azure-based infrastructure and services to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot and resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with development teams to define service level objectives (SLOs) and ensure they are met
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager
• Implement and manage technologies like Lake house concepts and Unity Catalog for efficient deployment and scaling of data bricks.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive system health and performance management
• Participate in capacity planning, performance testing, and optimization efforts to ensure system scalability and cost-effectiveness
• Help establish best practices around data governance, data security and privacy including handling Confidential and Most Confidential data.
• Product stability, compliance, and security, enabled through the Operational Readiness Framework (ORF) and automation of ORF tasks and evidence
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to improve system reliability, performance, and efficiency

What we need from you

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree related to IT and at least 5 to 9 years of total experience of corporate IT experience
• 4 to 5 years of experience working as an IT Operations engineer or similar role in a cloud-based environment, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
• In-depth knowledge of Azure services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Virtual Machines, ETL Tools (ADF and Data Bricks) and Azure Active Directory
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Resource Manager
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Azure Log Analytics, or similar solutions
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Knowledge of security principles and best practices for securing Azure resources
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
