Where you fit As part of the Projects & Technology, Upstream, Integrated Gas, and Renewable Energy Solutions (PTIGRES) Service & Operations Management (SOM), the CP DataHub and Inventory Optimisation Tool for Assets (IOTA) applications are critical for Contracting and Procurement and Manage Supply Chain functions of the Shell Group. Issues and outages in these applications can cause significant business impacts in terms of data visibility and decision-making for the business. What's the role As IT Operations Engineer, you will interface between support and the Business organization and its end-to-end accountability for resolving technical issues. Also, you will manage End-to-End technical resolution and interfaces with IT Operations Manager and Business. The job manages technical and operational activities such as resolving technical, functional and data issues and managing integrations with ERPs, Middleware and other Shell systems. The job is also responsible for monitoring the availability and reliability of the landscape that they oversee to meet the KPIs as agreed in the SLA. Other Accountabilities include: End-to-end ownership of technical issue resolution in CP Datahub and IOTA applications primarily around Azure pipelines, Data Factory, Azure Analysis services, integration services Identify the root cause of technical issues, analyse the impact, propose workarounds and permanent resolutions Work with businesses to understand the impact of global application issues and send out appropriate communications to the end-user community Deep technical knowledge about the overall application landscape including integrations Collaborate with external support teams for integration issues with connected applications, and hold the accountability of overall issue resolution Proactively identify technical opportunities to automate and improve application availability, Azure pipeline monitoring and end-user experience Collaborate with product teams to analyse systemic product issues and come up with technical solutions Ensure technical issues raised by end-users are immediately acknowledged, picked up and progress updates sent out regularly until resolution What We Need from You At least 5 years of experience in implementation or operations management of: Incident, Problem and Change management in ServiceNow Azure DevOps SQL Azure Analysis Services Azure Data Factory Azure Databricks Azure Data Lake Services Operate effectively with minimal supervision Understanding of application landscapes including underlying infrastructure and concepts of application security Able to assess & handle critical situations, and coordinate with many team players to restore normal IT service Ability to operate in a virtual cross-cultural organization Strong problem-analysis and troubleshooting skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Nice to have: Knowledge of PowerBI including building new reports, knowledge about various integration options, troubleshooting data models Nice to have: Knowledge of service support, operation and design processes (ITIL) COMPANY DESCRIPTION Shell is a global energy company where we work towards powering progress through more and cleaner energy solutions.
