The Role

This position manages overall delivery and outages for landscapes, ensuring availability, reliability, and overall supportability on a 7x24, 365-day basis with team members across the globe applying the follow-the-sun model. The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity to cross-train to become a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in a few years. The Service Manager will be part of a small team, reporting to a manager, and supporting various applications end to end in the portfolio, which forms part of a wider team. The Service Manager will have to manage multiple delivery priorities and demand requests, managing various stakeholders in other parts of the organization. What\'s the role? • Bachelor\'s Graduate with a minimum of 9-12 years of overall IT work experience and should have application development and Operations Support
• Should have work experience and sound knowledge in Programming languages COBOL, CICS, SQL (DB2) and JCL..NET, C++ and Python are a plus
• Strong stakeholder management skills with an emphasis on strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with good analysis and problem-solving skills, including strong interpersonal relationship -, and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to deliver results in a matrix organization drives delivery excellence through influence and teamwork
• A professional certification e.g. ITIL certification is a plus
• Comprehensive understanding of business process improvement, benefit - and risk management
