Alight is looking for an experienced ETL/Informatica Engineer with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, thought leadership, and a demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to complex problems. Proactive, self-motivated, and independent with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality work on tight schedules. Theu202F ETL and Informatica Engineer u202Frole is a technical leadership role in our applications management and support (AMS) team. Responsibilities: The individual will be involved in the following critical activities: Independently develop s , executes , and monitor s complex data integration activities to support daily operation. Expert in defining, implementing, debugging , and optimizing data integration mappings and scripts from a variety of data sources. Take ownership in the ETL code, metadata definition and models, queries, scripts, schedules, work processes , maintenance procedures and identify opportunities to optimize the sizing, performance , and efficiency of existing processes/procedures. Develops technical understanding of how the data flows from various source systems and source types to fine tune data integration solution . Maint ain the data ingestion workflows across wide variety of data sources and data ingestion patterns such as batch, near real-time and real time . Work with DBAs and Data Architects to plan and implement appropriate data partitioning strategy Develop stored procedures, database triggers and SQL queries and tune SQL code for optimization Self-motivated team player who can work with minimal supervision and are comfortable work with offshore team members. Ability to work on multiple task s simultaneously, ability to switch between tasks and work in conflicting priorities Ensuring consistency with published development, coding , and testing standards The ideal experience and critical competencies for the role include the following: Flexible, adaptable, and pragmatic with an ability to stay focused on objectives and a can-do-attitude Have evident problem-solving skills and strong technical troubleshooting skills 5 + yearsu2019 of ETL application development and implementation experience using Informatica and SQL server Working proficiency in Microsoft SQL server , e xperience with database objects including schema design, stored procedure development and performance tun ing and query optimization technique .
