The Consultant is the expert with accountability for business applications (BA) in the area of Quality and Science related processes and IT applications. In this role the person takes ownership in the area of quality assurance/management, customer complaints and notifications, lab information management systems in analytics and research as well as defining and delivering related services to the business. This includes reviewing and approving of changes or improvements for related products. The ownership entails a detailed understanding of application functionality and process, in order to support and maximize on how stakeholders use, manage and retrieve information from the application and business process monitoring. The job holder has broad expertise in his/her application area. He/she oversees and evaluates new solutions, recommends implementation of required changes and drives for continuous improvements.

What will you be doing?
Demand & Portfolio Management for SAP QM and related applications

• Lead contact for Clariant QM in a global SAP environment
• End-to-end responsibility for projects, services and maintenance
• Align & prioritizes requirements with business partner along values and priorities
• Plan, lead and support projects in alignment with IT project management guidelines

Application & Roadmap Management

• IT product owner for SAP QM to manage application process changes & developments
• Take responsibility for related IT architecture and solution roadmap
• Define and maintain product roadmap and architecture
• Drive innovation, explore and propose new solutions based on business needs or market trends
• Identify and implement improvements through automation & process harmonization
• Maximize the appropriate applications usage

Service Design & Delivery

• End-to-End responsibility for global SAP QM
• Deliver services along applicable SLA's
• Monitor services along applicable KPI's
• Continuous service improvements by maintaining the QM knowledge base
• Lead and collaborate with other IT teams to accelerate solution finding process

Personal Development

• Be part of a new team that is fast growing and working on interessting and challenging projects with strong customer proximity and data science
• Participate in the performance management process
• Supports knowledge transfer within the team
• Optimizes performance levels by goal alignment with line mgmt. and corresponding target reviews
• Ensures with continuous personnel development self-monitoring that the skill requirements are met within team
• Ensures adequate collaboration and communication within the team, across teams and to Clariant customers

What do we expect?
Education:

• University degree in business or information technology or comparable expertise
• Also candidates with a solid background in the role of a Service- or Business Consultant in the SAP environment

Business experience:

• Ideally in the position as a SAP QM business consultant
• Excellent process knowledge in the area SAP QM and ideally in relation with other Lab Information Systems like LIMS and ELN
• Deep process knowledge in SAP QM and related logistic modules (procurement, production, sales)
• Excellent consulting experience providing support to major business stakeholder along product selection/implementation or improvements
• Enhanced project management skills and capable to lead an international/cross-functional team (and external partners)
• Good knowledge about generation and use of QA and scientific data & information
• Good knowledge about scientific content and related data structures will be benficial
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at management level
• Good support and teamwork skills with the ability to deliver high quality results under time pressure
• Fluent English written and spoken communication skills
• Good interpersonal, intercultural, communication skills

• Pro-active, creative with a high level of self-motivation & team working skills, communicative, cross cultural understanding
• Ideally with an scientific background or interests
• Excellent analytical skills & structured working style
• Fast learner and willingness to take responsibility
• IT Service Management - Certification desirable (e.g. ITIL, ServiceNow)
