Introduction: The Investigations Manager (IM) will assist and support the development of PS&I with the successful delivery of investigations casework. The IM will support the development of the provision of investigatory services across the group. The role holder will be required to build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, business partners and industry contacts as necessary, including but not limited to law enforcement both domestic and international, law firms acting for Barclays and financial services Industry. The role holder will carry out investigations as directed into allegations of serious violations of laws, regulations or internal policy complex complaints and potential fraud matters assist in the operation of the wider CSO functions in relation to Cybercrime/eCrime Investigation conduct assist develop and operate the Cybercrime/eCrime investigations methodology in close collaboration with the business partners across the Bank and external bodies behaviours materially inconsistent with the Barclays Values and any other significant matters requiring independent investigation and the successful delivery of investigations casework. The role holder will work to the highest levels of integrity, being entrusted with confidential and secret information acting at all times to protect the reputation of Barclays, its colleagues and its customers. Strong levels of investigative ability, commercial awareness, decision making and judgement are required. What will you be doing Performance Management . Keep informed of and promote knowledge of best practice in Investigations management, from both internal and external sources (from regulatory, enforcement, and industry perspectives). . Support the team Senior Investigations Manager and Director in the effective management of both investigations casework and function strategy. Operational . Supervise, direct and conduct investigations to a professional standard. . Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards . Demonstrate commercial awareness during investigations to maximise recovery opportunities and make cost reductions where appropriate. . Contribute to and produce management information reports as required for feedback to the wider business and infrastructure. . Contribute to the ongoing Investigations Risk and Control assessment (RCA) process, conformance testing and investigations quality assurance programme. . Represent the team in meetings and attend when required relevant investigations oversight committees and forums. . Own and provide ongoing review and input to team processes and procedures, seeking to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness in all that the team does. What we're looking for: . Investigative certifications/training or equivalent demonstrable experience - preferably in prior law enforcement, regulatory, audit, risk or accounting in the financial services industry . Financial Crime or Fraud certifications/training or equivalent demonstrable experience Skills that will help you in the role: . A degree level qualification . Experience of delivering training or mentoring colleagues .
