Position Title: Manager Information Technology

Job Location: Bangalore, KA-India

Role Definition

• Manages employees who are responsible for development projects, development teams and application support functions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation, and maintenance of application programs. (.NET, Java, Web Application Development, Cloud Based apps, Emerging technologies etc)
• Maximize staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs.
• Monitor and maintain adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis.

Education & Experience Requirement

• Bachelor\'s or master\'s in computer science or software engineering, or Equivalent education with at least 10 Years of experience (B.E / B Tech / M Tech / MCA)
• Expertise in one-to-many areas including software engineering, security, database, servers, storage, collaboration, or other technical areas.
• Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio, Java, JavaScript, Web application, C#, SQL Server Database or similar, Experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS / Azure, Experience with AWS design, Architecture and Services (EC2, IAM, S3, etc)
• Experience in one or multiple areas covering the key infrastructure such as Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Window Server, Relational Databases, VCS, Networking (Routing, Firewall, Load balancers), Web services (Apache, Tomcat, IIS), Citrix, Service Now, File transferring (SFTP, FTP)
• Experience / Awareness of server infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud computing is desired.
• Experience on secured coding practices and Cybersecurity principles is desired.

Knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Manages application-related issues, implications, and approaches with clients.
• Evaluates key interfaces and interdependencies among core applications systems.
• Explains features and benefits of core applications for consideration by business units.
• Plans enhancement, conversion, and retirement strategies for core applications

Analytical Thinking

Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Talent Management

Knowledge of the critical competencies required to achieve intended results; ability to generate consistent approaches for hiring, selection, retaining and leveraging talent across the organization.

Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing, and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.

Vendor/Supplier Management

Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers).

Level Working Knowledge:

• Works with vendors to assure that products or services are delivered to time and quality specifications.
• Provides feedback on vendor performance to responsible contract administrators.
• Resolves routine issues or problems with vendors in organization\'s best interest.
• Identifies communications bottlenecks and recommends appropriate solutions.
• Builds effective working relationships with counterparts in vendor or supplier\'s organization.

System and Technology Integration

• Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases, and technology platforms.
