Position Title: Information Technology Manager

Job Location: Bangalore, KA -India

Job Purpose

To lead, coach, mentor a team of resources who perform complex integration functions between IT and finance systems. This role has to lead and build a sense of purpose in the team to support unit or corporate decision making on highly complex or broad business issues, projects and/or initiatives, with focus on financial systems integration solution design. This position requires to coordinate financial systems deployments with multiple teams.

Job Duties

• Reporting to the incumbent is internal and contracted resources. I/T positions reporting to the incumbent may include any or all of the following: Senior IT Analyst, IT Analysts (at various levels of experience), and Associate IT Analysts, as well as customer liaison personnel at various levels.
• This role understands and executes standard work to ensure the scope of services achieve and maintain appropriate level of risk and compliance to internal policies and procedures, including those relating to sustainability, cybersecurity, SOX, and IT General Controls.
• This position directs the work efforts of professional and technical employees and contracted resources that provide consulting services; and, define, design, develop, implement data lake in Finance
• The incumbent provides guidance and reviews results to ensure customer quality needs are met. The incumbent makes efficient use of available information technology and must be aware of I/S technology trends to develop compatible systems. Utilizes group standards, practices, and processes; establishes, manages, and reports adherence to schedules and may contribute to resolution of complex problems and systems challenges that involve careful interpretation, analysis and diagnosis.
• Anticipates potential systems difficulties, identifies alternatives, solutions and interrelationships of the functional areas involved and assures timely communications among related areas in order to support the creation of effective, reliable systems to meet changing business needs of multiple customers and corporate requirements. This position resides within the Global Financial Systems Organization and is an integral part of governing and interfacing with global teams for building data lake that integrate with Caterpillar systems worldwide. This individual will lead a team of individuals who work independently, as well as within a large team environment, to assist in the design and delivery of error-free solutions which meets the business needs of our customers.
• This position demands Enterprise-level capabilities that solve complex business problems and provide tangible value. This role is also accountable for ensuring that developed capabilities and solutions are aligned with Enterprise, product and divisional strategies, both short and long term. Remains current with global industry trends, understands their impact in the long term on Caterpillar\'s business and utilizes this knowledge to develop strategies to maintain Caterpillar\'s competitive advantage

Additionally, this position will/must :

• Have the ability to analyze and understand impact and have a broader perspective on specific technology solution/design issues. This requires a comprehensive understanding of Caterpillar\'s technology solutions, interfaces, security, data governance policies and procedures.
• Skilled in large scale Data lake implementations using AWS/Azure. Extensive experience in working with cross-functional teams, along with proven history of strong job related results.

• Execute business objectives through collaboration and decisive action

• Provide guidance to the team in resolving issues in a timely manner
• Lead and/or direct teams within or outside of discipline addressing complex problems

• Experience in managing teams working across multiple locations working from satellite office locations.

Basic Qualifications

• This position requires a business or technology-related undergraduate degree from a college or university.
• Strong working knowledge in Snowflake, AWS and Azure technologies
• Experience leading projects that drive change
• Well-developed interpersonal skills are required in dealing with sensitive issues, developing others, and reaching consensus on specific actions.
• Functional leadership. experience in finance domain
• Analytical, problem solving, and project leadership skill.
• Effective communicator, in written and oral form. Fluent in the English language and preferred other languages.
• A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible job-related experience
