Management Level Manager

& Summary A career in our State and Local Indirect Tax practice, within State and Local Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients solve their business issues related to business restructuring, adoption of new tax laws, and communicating local tax developments. You'll help with assessing our client's state and local tax burden and recommend solutions that support their overall business objectives to ensure that their filling positions are consistent with good business practices and with the states applicable tax laws and rules.

Our team helps our clients manage their indirect tax responsibilities related to value added taxes, sales and use taxes, goods and services taxes, federal excise taxes, and other transaction taxes. You'll help with identifying and exploring indirect tax opportunities and issues related to business expansion, systems and controls, refunds and cash flow, and policy and design.

Preferred skills

Technical
1. 7-10 years of experience in ERP (SAP/Oracle) and Tax Engine (Onesource, Vertex, Avalara, Sovos)
2. Strong ERP skills (SAP/Oracle) - Configuration related to Tax Business Process (order-to-cash and procure-to-pay)
3. Tax Engine Experience (Vertex, Avalara, OneSource, Sovos) - Configurations related to Tax Determination and Reporting
4. Build Indirect Tax requirements through interaction with client process teams - Deep understanding of the Business Requirements in Indirect Tax Process Automation
5. Ability to take ownership of the Functional Design - Strong Functional expertise and Deep problem solving skills to assist with ideal future state solution for our clients.
6. Perform Testing in ERP system and Tax Engines - Ability to identify root cause related to calculation issues in Oracle or SAP
7. Ability to create these documentations: Business Requirements Documents, Functional Designs, Configurations,Test Scenarios and Training Guides
