Job Description

Business of the Company:

The Company is in the business of managing operating projects in the space of core infrastructure viz toll roads, highways, bridges. It owns and manages multiple projects across India by way of individual operating companies on PPP basis. The company is promoted and backed by strong pedigree of sponsor developer and long term international investors. Company has invested over Rs 10,000 crore in such assets with intention to further invest and grow the platform.

The incumbent is responsible for the procurement of services/ products (including tailor made) at various stages of a project. The position involves close interactions and negotiations for the functions which includes Business Development, Implementation, Operations, Equipment's and Maintenance and other service departments connected with the Roads and Bridges business -Vendors, service providers, contractors etc.

Skills:

Total 10 to 15 Year in Procurement in Roads and Bridges or Construction Industry desirable

Good English written and spoken, High Computer skills

Education Degree in Civil Engineering

List of Duties:

1) Identification of all requirements in requisition for purchase issued by Functional Department.

2) Maintain the BOQ with updates from suppliers until after awarding the contract.

3) Receiving the price quotations. (competitive quotes)

4) Prepare schedule of comparison

5) In charge of establishing internal rates for civil works being done in maintenance stage including accidental damages, any additional works during implementation stage, MMR works, RM works, PBMC works- monthly

6) Responsible for Routine Maintenance contracts, MMR contracts finalisation and Internal improvements

7) Reiterate with designers and suppliers for finalization of quantity and quality.

8) Establish delivery terms, time and stages of inspection for the supply with Project Management Team.

9) Ensure that all potential suppliers are provided with identical information upon which the quotations are given equal opportunity to meet the desired requirements.

10) Negotiate the best payment terms and contract conditions, maintaining high level of integrity.

11) Keep accurate records to justify the process and any other related decisions made in this regard

12) Tracking and expediting of Shipment.

13) Handle Delivery and inspection of items. Assist in Insurance claims, if any.

14) Storage and handling on site, prior to use, during installation and commissioning and closure of any surplus/defective materials after the completion of the project.

15) Client acceptance/rejection, warranties and other related follow up matters with the supplier till completion of Project.

16) Keep updated with market developments and assist in Vendor Development.

17) Regularly train on company development programs.

18) Report on budget versus Actual performance on project-wise basis

19) Arrange and participate in meetings between suppliers and Company engineers and other personnel to facilitate standardization and economical procurement.

20) Assist Tendering and Costing Department as required - and Evaluation of vendors [Pre and Post Award of Works]
