So, ask us about some of our recent pledges for Women\'s Equality and being a \'Disability Confident\' and \'Inclusive Employer\'. /p p The role will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment with Engineers and Designers from other disciplines involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing electrical power systems. /p p The System study Engineer ( HVDC Specialist ) is required to support power system planning studies, system impact studies for renewable integration, and provide studies support for the design of the Transmission and Distribution assets substations, transmission lines, BESS, Etc.). /p p A minimum of 5 to 10 years\' experience working on a similar assignment is required along with experience utilizing PSS/E, PSCAD, and similar power system analysis software. /p p strong How will you contribute to the team /strong /p ul li The incumbent will perform the duties of an Electrical Engineer, primarily specializing in the areas of power system analysis, smart grids, electrifications, and energy storage. The candidate is expected to perform regularly upon request substation engineering design studies. /li li The qualified candidate will be responsible for the performance of electrical studies of utility electrical transmission and distribution systems, including: /li li Load flow, short circuit, and dynamic simulations. /li li Perform Renewable Energy Resource Interconnection Studies. /li li Conduct electromagnetic transient simulation studies. /li li Perform grounding, lightning, and bus studies to support substation design Demonstrates the ability to interact with a wide variety of people to obtain the required information needed for the performance of the studies. /li li Willing to take on assignments that are often self-initiated and self-directed.
