You will be working as Health Safety Environment Specialist at global grade 13 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based out at Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to HSE Manager or Country HSE Manager and will be primarily responsible applying, establishing standards and instructing or coaching other professionals, executing work assignments using established solutions. Building knowledge about HSE requirements with other disciplines in the organization.Your responsibilities Reporting HSE incidents, feeding back on lessons learned and best practices from own unit and across ABB to management and employees. Reporting progress on implementation of ABB group sustainability objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ABB group, as required in cooperation with other functions Supporting managers to ensure the respective organization is compliant with environment-related laws, standards and guidelines and applicable legal compliances. Implementing policies and standards. Ensuring area of responsibility is audited according to the program for audit Regulatory compliance, Implementing policies and standards. Assisting line managers and supervisors in understanding obligations, liability and how to fulfill their roles, according to local HSE law and ABB group policy, instructions and standards Facilitating risk management, HSE risks assessment by line management involving shop floor employees, i.e. those directly concerned by the hazards, and ensures all processes are implemented Ensuring appropriate safety equipment and tools are available and used. Identifying, planning and initiating training need, e.g. for employees, site managers and ensuring delivery of training. Driving and ensuring compliance with group management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) Contributing to and/or planning and executing environment related projects. Developing and reports on project objectives. Managing project resources such as manpower, financials and other relevant factors Your background B.E or B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering from a reputed university and Diploma in Industrial Safety from the state recognized institution is must Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in HSE management and systems from a manufacturing industry Experience in HSE, public relations, sustainability and corporate responsibility Certification in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is must Should be able to read, write and speak kannada, english and hindi (speak) More about us ABB Energy Industries is enabling safe, smart and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation and water sectors.
