The role is accountable for the delivery of technology projects within Functions. Responsible for the successful delivery of this project to plan, budget and agreed quality and governance standards. Manage project teams engaged throughout the full delivery lifecycle. Delivery of projects supporting the business strategy from business case through to initiation, requirement analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and closure.

What will you be doing?

  • Accountable for creating project deliverables that meet or exceed the expectations of the project stakeholders. Co-ordinates with team members, including those from suppliers and external vendors
  • Overall accountability and end-to-end delivery management for a set of technology related initiatives as defined by our business and portfolio framework
  • The role will require work to be undertaken on multiple projects/releases at a time, collaborating with Business Analysts, Designers and developers as well as support and Infrastructure teams during and for the release of software components within the project scope, ensuring quality and timeliness of the delivery.
  • Own and drive the Project planning framework, ensuring that plans are developed and tracked to appropriate standards, are integrated effectively across all work-streams, are unambiguous and achievable, and that dependencies are clearly understood and managed
  • Manage and co-ordinate projects, their interdependencies, and associated risks and issues, escalating to the engineering leads to ensure project delivery
  • Control the Project scope, ensuring that rigorous change control is exercised
  • Ensure that all Project status reporting is accurate, informative and timely, and directly provide progress reports. Escalate for management intervention wherever gaps in the Programme/Project are identified or issues arise
  • Provide ongoing monitoring of the Project to confirm that delivery meets the Project's objectives and continues to make effective use of available funds and resources
  • Creates and manages detailed Project Implementation Plans, ensuring resources in place and outages agreed
  • Ensure all change record are submitted and closed within established timeframes. Conducts Go/ No-go meetings. Produces project implementation communications
  • Ensures resolution of minor and major incidents associated with the project, facilitate regular checkpoints during the Implementation period (and through roll-back if necessary)

Stakeholder Management and Leadership
  • Work closely with Product Owners/Central PMO to understand the big picture, independent business outcomes, criticality, impact and timelines.
  • Maintain clear and transparent communication with stakeholders, both within and outside the team, at all times.
  • Raise red flags to relevant stakeholders as and when a risk is spotted. Provide risk mitigation plan wherever necessary.

What we’re looking for:
  • Demonstrable experience in a Project Manager role with strong evidence of both business and technology change delivery.
  • Experience in Project Management for large complex projects, with in depth understanding of high quality governance practices
  • Excellent communication skills, able to adapt approach to different levels of seniority as appropriate.
  • Experience of working in an agile project team Ability to work collaboratively, influence and support teams through periods of change

  • Project Management or Agile certification
  • Experience working in large, complex organisations, delivering migration or change projects for Functions (HR/Compliance) Domain
  • Experience of Jira , Confluence, Navigaor tools
