Job description The HR Specialist acts as a subject matter expert supporting employees and management through onboarding, performance management, payroll, grievances and exit process as well as local practices within their region/division of responsibility. The HR Specialist advises leadership regarding best practices to maximize employee efficiency, and champions a diverse workforce throughout the employee life cycle, fostering a culture of continuous improvement through performance management. Key responsibilities & duties:
Manages & delivers onboarding for new hires and ensures all legal documentation is on file with 100% accuracy level
Guides benefit allowances, policies, labor law changes impacting local HR processes and compliance
Manages HRIS and benefits administration
Issues HR letters for employees, ROEs, terminations, employment verifications, etc.
Partners with Payroll team to ensure that people-transactions are processed timely and continuously reviewed, improved, and streamlined
Supports programs to improve employee experience through engagement
Focal Point and coordinator for people, tools, processes, programs, or projects
Collaborates with the Secure Facility Operations team and the HR team, on employee relations management, including issues and performance improvement
Advise managers and employees on people practices that require in-depth knowledge of policies, procedures, and local legislation
Conduct investigations in coordination with the India Site Lead and SF Ops Manager
Handles the exit process to create a seamless transition
Reviews local policies and processes to ensure that they are fit for local implementation
Responsible for the background verification for all Operations hires within the first 45 days contract
Responsible for contracts management, contract renewal and always ensure compliance of the process within agreed SLA and with 100% accuracy
Participate in job fairs or events to help elevate the employer brand and contribute to local community pathway partnerships to employment
Supports the delivering and improving of HR-focused training content to further develop functional and managerial skills
Updates HRIS with different status of onboarding / off boarding on timely manner and ensuring 100% accuracy of records
Supports people managers and employees with career conversations, development planning and other development initiatives
Qualifications:
Degree level education (or equivalent professional HR experience)
A minimum of 3+ years? experience of working in generalist HR with proven experience of Employee Relations
Exposure to payroll and SI, pension submission
Experience of coaching other team members
Self-motivated, confident and an engaging approachable manner with a ?can do? flexible attitude to work requirements
Good knowledge of current India employment legislation
Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and taking ownership for key areas of responsibility and projects
Strong organizational skills ability to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, manage and prioritize workload to achieve the timescales required
Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines with accurate results
Fluent/Native in both languages: English & Hindi
