Job purpose

The role is responsible for acting as the first point of contact for providing coaching and advice to people managers to support in managing their teams.

This role will support HR Managers and HRBP's in the delivery of COE and business change programmes to ensure they run effectively at a site level. This will involve implementing HR initiatives, establishing and implementing people/resourcing plans and organisational structures, local employee relations and talent management planning.

Principal accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the business to provide pragmatic HR coaching and advice to line management teams in relation to all aspects of their role as a people manager.
  • Delivers local employee relations support such as advice, consultation and case resolution
  • Provides support to HR Managers for the local implementation and delivery of programmes and policies. For example:
  • Supporting managers in resource planning and recruitment and onboarding related activities in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team
  • local engagement programmes such as supporting managers on action planning for YourSay feedback.
  • Participate in performance management and career development discussions with line managers and support the annual calibration process.
  • Deliver relevant HR related training & coaching to managers and staff e.g. interviewing skills, conducting performance reviews, induction etc.
  • Being an advocate of the HR Excellence programme, supporting line managers and employees through the change.
  • Collaborate on a variety of key HR projects to enhance the manager and employee experience and continually improve HR services.

Previous experience working in HR environment with multiple managers and employees in an advisory capacity

Depth of experience across the full generalist HR spectrum, able to independently manage HR issues including complex ER Cases

Degree in HR / Business related or equivalent experience in a similar industry/environment
