Olam Global Business Services (OGBS) is a captive unit that offers End to End business process and analytics solutions. OGBS currently offers its solutions in 6 Platforms: Finance, Supply Chain, People services, Risk & Market Compliance, Big Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. At this moment, OGBS is located in City of Chennai, India and provides its services to over 20 countries. Job Summary

Legal & Compliance Head will ensure OTBS conducts its activities, and manages its relationships with Enterprise Customers, Strategic Vendors, Employees and other stakeholders in compliance with the law and with integrity; promotes the highest ethical standards across OTBS and assists in setting the tone for a compliance culture; and ensures protection of the OTBS logo, trademarks and Intellectual property worldwide
This position is responsible for providing high quality legal advice to OTBS Board and Senior Management on a full range of legal related strategic and operational issues
Participate in OTBS growth journey, Instil and foster a culture of legal compliance, advocate for Ethics & Compliance across all levels, build relationships with external legal advisors as needed



Contract negotiation
Negotiate, review and draft contracts, RFP and other strategic documents from legal perspective
Review all contracts or any other documentation where OTBS has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the senior management's attention
Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration embedding latest technology tools
Prepare and advise on the necessary legal checklist to carry out business transactions and assist businesses in achieving growth plans
Policy development and Litigation Management
Provide legal protection and risk management advice especially on intellectual property and copyrights
Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures in the countries OTBS operates
Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken
Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers
Regulatory compliance
Develop and operationalize Enterprise Risk Management framework and reports to senior management
Formulate legal compliance checklists for India, Singapore and all the other applicable countries and continuously monitor the same
Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff and other stakeholders

Profile Description

LLB / LLM or equivalent qualification from reputed institute with around 15 years of experience
Experience of handling global contracts and IP related knowledge is a must
Working experience in IT / ITES industry will be an added advantage
Should possess outstanding collaboration, conflict management and global stake holder management skills
