Head of Government Sales The Head of Government Sales is responsible for driving revenue generation from the government sales vertical. This role requires the development and execution of a comprehensive government sales strategy, effective sales management, and strategic leadership to achieve company sales targets, profit growth, market expansion. Key Responsibilities: 1)Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute both short-term and long-term business development strategies to ensure the attainment of company sales goals, profit growth, and market expansion. 2)Government Engagement: Collaborate closely with governmental agencies such as the Army, BSF, NSG, and other paramilitary departments to establish productive relationships, understand their needs, and effectively position the company\'s products and services. 3)Cross-Domain Collaboration: Work alongside other domains, particularly Agriculture, to ensure product empanelment with vendors and participation in demand generation activities. 4)Market Presence: Create strategies to establish a strong presence in emerging business opportunities within targeted verticals such as system integration, smart education, and e-governance, ensuring competitiveness and positioning for success. 5)Go-to-Market Approach: Employ a combination of strategic and tactical approaches to foster profitable government engagements and expand the revenue base. 6)Sales Network Development: Build and nurture a robust sales network, cultivate prospects, and manage the sales pipeline. Devise strategies to expand the customer base. 7)Client Interaction: Engage with key functional heads within government organizations to understand their business processes, needs, and pain points. 8)Team Leadership: Foster a cohesive and productive team environment, harness individual strengths, and leverage collective talents to create compelling proposals and drive business development initiatives. 9)Sales Training and Management: Develop sales training programs and incentive structures. Lead and manage sales teams to enhance market penetration and revenue generation. 10)Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate, lead, motivate, and mobilize sales, pre-sales, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure seamless collaboration and holistic engagement with government clients. 11)Stakeholder Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with government bureaucrats to identify and explore new avenues and opportunities for business engagement. Qualifications and Skill Set: \xe2\x97\x8f Education: Bachelor\'s degree is required; MBA is advantageous. \xe2\x97\x8f Experience: Minimum of 10 years of sales leadership experience. \xe2\x97\x8f Sales Record: Demonstrated success in managing high-value government sales or large-ticket sales. \xe2\x97\x8f Technical Proficiency: Strong technical understanding of IT services related to system integration, smart education, and e-governance. \xe2\x97\x8f Leadership Traits: Possesses team-oriented mindset, strategic thinking abilities, and effective problem-solving skills with hands-on capabilities. \xe2\x97\x8f Travel: Willingness to travel as required.
