Artifex HR is looking to hire a Finance Head for one of their restaurant clients. Reporting directly to the Director, the Head - Finance will oversee all financial activities and provide strategic financial guidance to support the company\'s objectives. This role will lead all financial administration, business planning, and budgeting. As a member of the leadership team, the Head - Finance will work closely with the board of directors. Job Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial planning strategies to support business growth and profitability. Conduct financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify areas for improvement, and make strategic recommendations. Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis reports. Monitor key financial metrics and provide regular updates to senior management Financial Reporting and compliance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with auditing standards. Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax Cashflow management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. Optimize working capital management, including accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. Implement cash flow forecasting models to anticipate funding needs and mitigate financial risks Optimize banking relationships, negotiate financing terms, and oversee debt management activities. Financial Strategy and Risk Management: Develop and implement financial strategies to maximize shareholder value and achieve long-term financial sustainability. Identify and assess financial risks and implement risk mitigation measures. Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making. Assess the financial viability of strategic initiatives and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and maximize shareholder value. Investor Relations and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison with investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders, providing transparency and accountability in financial matters. Communicate financial performance, key metrics, and growth strategies to shareholders and the investment community. Foster positive relationships with lenders, regulators, auditors, and other key stakeholders to support the company\'s objectives. Accounts: Oversee treasury, tax and audit activities of the organization Oversee the accounts\' function, budget preparation, and audit functions. Meet regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer direction Internal audit of all accounting processes including compliance as per accounting principles Policies and guidelines on reimbursements, expenses, asset management, travel etc. Statutory compliances including Service tax, Income Tax, etc. Direct the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies. Secretarial and Legal Responsibilities: Oversee all matters related to secretarial functions including procedural issues in accordance with Company Law regulations Institute best practices in Corporate Governance and management of the Board Oversee all contractual and legal issues, including vetting of contracts, MOU\'s and agreements Manage the relationship with banks and regulatory bodies to ensure faster and cost-effective transactions Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Ensure adequate staffing levels and resource allocation to support departmental goals and objectives. Promote a customer-centric mindset and cross-functional collaboration to drive business success Reporting: Finance Head will report to the Executive Director in this role Regular reporting of information, issues within the department Provide progress updates on a regular basis to all stakeholders JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education : Chartered Account or Company Secretary Work Experience : 15+ years of experience in a similar role preferably from the food and beverage industry or hospitality sector Knowledge & Skills : In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends. Strategic mindset with a track record of driving business growth and profitability. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on team building, talent development, and organizational effectiveness. Proficiency in financial modelling, ERP systems, and financial software applications. High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
