INDICATORS OF SUCCESS
\xc2\xa7 Sufficient supplies of dishware, glassware and pots and pans for food and beverage service. \xc2\xa7 Cleanliness of kitchen and cafeteria areas at or above Brand standards. \xc2\xa7 Smooth and efficient operation of Steward Department.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Assists in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Radisson Hotel Group\xe2\x80\x99s overall mission, vision values and strategies \xc2\xa7 Establishes rotating cleaning calendar for special cleaning projects and manages staff to clean accordingly. \xc2\xa7 Assists executive committee in establishing stewarding budget \xc2\xa7 Maintains controls to guard against theft and waste
Ensures smooth operation of kitchen department \xc2\xa7 Directs cleaning of floors and work surfaces daily \xc2\xa7 Properly staffs stewarding to forecasted department business to ensure coverage while minimizing cost \xc2\xa7 Trains staff on use of dishwashing and other cleaning equipment and processes \xc2\xa7 Ensures trash is removed promptly
Maintains supplies and equipment for cafeteria and Food and Beverage Department \xc2\xa7 Maintains levels of Stewarding stock, makes requisitions and obtains approval as needed \xc2\xa7 Assures proper distribution and storage of supplies \xc2\xa7 Monitors supply of clean dishware, glassware, pots and pans \xc2\xa7 Takes steps to ensure kitchen and restaurant have needed supplies \xc2\xa7 Checks cleaning equipment daily and reports any problems to maintenance department for repair \xc2\xa7 Researches new products and supplies and works with vendors to test and make recommendations to management \xc2\xa7 Prevents insects and mold by maintaining cleanliness of prone areas and taking steps to correct when necessary
Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement \xc2\xa7 Recruits and selects qualified candidates \xc2\xa7 Provides employees with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities \xc2\xa7 Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback \xc2\xa7 Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations \xc2\xa7 Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service \xc2\xa7 Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems \xc2\xa7 Provides Yes I Can! genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis \xc2\xa7 Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction \xc2\xa7 Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
Adheres to hotel policies and procedures \xc2\xa7 Attends work on time as scheduled \xc2\xa7 Follows hotel grooming and hygiene standards \xc2\xa7 Minimises safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures \xc2\xa7 Keeps immediate manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance \xc2\xa7 Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position \xc2\xa7 Maintains a favourable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote co-operative and harmonious working climate \xc2\xa7 At all time projects a favourable image of Brand to the public
REQUIREMENTS
\xc2\xa7 High school diploma required, bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in hospitality preferred \xc2\xa7 Minimum one-year experience in hotel/restaurant food and beverage \xc2\xa7 Excellent oral and written communication skills \xc2\xa7 Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork \xc2\xa7 Able to resolve conflicts with guests, supervisors and employees \xc2\xa7 Able to multitask and work well under pressure INDFOH
