Group Head HR

Our client is a leading players into diversified groups based out of Chennai.

- He/ She would be heading the various functions under the Human Resources Division including recruitment, statutory responsibilities, legal & administration

- This is level 1 position.

- The candidate will be a part of the core strategic leadership team at the Managing Director's Office

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Recruitment & employee life cycle

- Lead the recruitment efforts and assist the various business heads to fulfill vacancies in sales, service, and other divisions

- Oversee the end-to-end process for employee on boarding, training & settlements

- Lead the employee engagement activities across all franchises, which is tangible and impactful to the organization

- A thorough understanding of employee compensation structure and the market needs vs business requirements

- Manage employee grievances

- Work closely with business leaders to engage with employees and develop process and policies to make the company a preferred employer within the industry

- Develop and implement policies and training in line with the business goals

- Develop a positive work environment and identify key resources for important positions

- Lead the recruitment efforts and assist the various business heads to fulfill vacancies in sales, service, and other divisions

Statutory :

- Oversee and responsible to ensure all statutory requirements related to running the business such as compliance with Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, Pollution Control Act etc. are being monitored and satisfied

- Excellent knowledge of labor legislation

Legal :

- Take the lead and be the liaison person between the operations of the business and the lawyers in taking forward all legal issues that may arise in the business

- Be the point of contact to ensure all rental agreements, company assets etc. are documented and vetted and company interests protected at all times

Administration :

- Oversee the entire admin process including property maintenance, AMC's, service schedules, contractual staff etc.

- Administering employee benefits and settlements

- The administration of this large network requires a strong candidate with both knowledge and experience to manage his team to executive various tasks that come under the Human Resources Division.

- The candidate will also be the representative of the management and the primary point of contact for most new employees as a key decision and policy maker.

- As Head of Group HR, Legal and Administration, this candidate will be responsible in heading this division across all businesses.

Qualification & Experience :

- Should be MBA in HR with minimum 15 years of work experience in HR out of which 5 to 10 years at #1 position at the Human Resource Division with Corporate HR background.

- Age : Maximum 53 years

- Should know either Tamil or Kannada

- Excellent in communication and approachable in nature

- Ability to work in complete confidentiality with senior management

- Strong understanding of human resources and personnel management
