Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced GL Specialist to join our team at Treeline Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. As a GL Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company\'s general ledger. This is a full-time position with a mid-level experience requirement of 4 to 6 years.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company\'s general ledger by reviewing and reconciling accounts
• Assist in month-end closure activities, including preparing journal entries, reviewing financial statements, and conducting variance analysis
• Collaborate with other teams to gather necessary information for financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance
• Perform GL controlling tasks, such as account analysis, cost center management, and intercompany reconciliations
• Maintain and update the general ledger and chart of accounts
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations
• Assist in treasury management, including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
• Provide support during external audits and ensure audit findings are addressed and resolved

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification such as CA Inter is preferred
• 4 to 6 years of experience in general ledger accounting
• Strong knowledge of GL accounting principles and practices
• Experience in month-end closing activities and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
