Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a General Sales Manager located in Mumbai. The General Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales activities, developing and maintaining client relationships, and meeting sales targets. The General Sales Manager will also lead a team of sales professionals, provide sales training and mentorship, and work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and develop sales strategies that capitalize on market opportunities. Key Responsibility Area Must be a highly motivated senior sales professional with an outstanding proven record of success in the selling environment, with a strong empathy for people and exceptional leadership skills. Would be responsible for Developing business in the Surface Coating Segment & Allied Industries - Pan India Running the SBU as a profit centre,Strategizing, Budgeting on Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly basis, Profit optimization & analyse the profit making products for strong marketing activities. Overall management of entire Business Development, Sales & Marketing, geographical market mapping and planning, Inventory sales. Identifying & developing new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers in Surface Coating industry. Engage into Product development and contributing to pricing policy discussions To identify & source new supplier partners (essentially overseas manufacturers). Represent Company & its product portfolio in the Indian Market & to the Supplier Partner with great diligence. Should be able to understand data and analyse the same to increase companys Business share in the Market Optimum utilisation of resources. (Human Resources, assets, infrastructure etc.) Participate in exhibition and industrial events. Effectively guide, direct and control the team and its activities PAN India Together with the sales teams define strategies and translate it into a definite sales strategy and objectives, in order to set the direction that the sales business will take. Work very closely with the team for ensuring individual and team targets are met Developing team members to the next upper level. Conducting timely reviews with management & team members of sales and marketing activities, periodically. Responsible for hiring, training, designing and redesigning of KRA\'s in the existing and changing business environment.
