The Role: Full Stack/Backend Java Developer

The Team: We design, develop, and host data-rich, full-featured, high-traffic web and mobile applications for financial institutions, brokerages, and media clients. We leverage a combination of our mature .NET stack along with the latest and greatest the industry has to offer to deliver some of the fastest and most utilized applications in the financial industry. Duties & accountabilities: -

• Design & Develop solutions for a business problem
• Ownership of the implementation (estimation, breakdown of tasks) for business functional specifications through the full software development lifecycle.
• Ownership of maintenance and support issues as they come up during the project lifecycle pre and post go-live. Provide technical assistance to other teams - support, QA, business analysis.
• Ability to work with remote team in a geographically distributed development model.
• Evaluate, apply & adoption of new technologies and tools within the Development team and across the organization to provide productivity, efficiency, and scalability benefits.
• Collaborate and share technical and business knowledge to members of the Development and wider organization.
• Developing features to enhance the user experience
• Maintaining brand consistency throughout the designs
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders.

Education and Experience: -

• B Tech./ M Tech / MCA degree in an IT/ Computer Science or related course is a prerequisite
• FS developer or BE - major/ UI - minor developer or BE developer with 4-7 years of experience is required.

Technical Skills: -

• Strong Core Java 8/ Java EE hands on skills including design patterns.
• Hands-on Experience in developing microservices using Spring Boot and other Spring components viz. JDBC, Batch, Security, Spring Data etc.
• Experience in using messaging tools like Active MQ, SQS, SNS, Kafka etc
• Hands on experience in writing & optimizing (analysing query plans) SQL queries on Database like PostgreSQL.
• Strong Experience in handling Multithreading, Data Structures, concurrency scenarios.
• Practical experience with Rest APIs, XML, JAXB, JSON in creating a layered system.
• Hands on experience with build tools like Maven/Gradle & Version Control systems like SVN & GIT.

Add-ons:

• Experience with latest version of Java is desirable.
• Experience with CI tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD is desirable.
• Experience in using AWS Services like AWS Lambda, AWS CloudWatch, Api Gateway, ECS, ECR, SQS, SNS is preferred.
• Hands on experience with Application Servers (Tomcat, WildFly).

o Comfortable working with both UNIX/Linux and Windows environment.

The candidate should also possess hands-on working knowledge of UI technologies:

• Expertise/ hands-on in Angular 2 and above version with at least 1+ years of working experience.
• Expertise/ hands-on with Object Oriented JavaScript / JQuery.
• Hands-on experience on HTML5, CSS, SCSS.
• Hands-on knowledge in Unit Testing FW like Karma/Jasmine, Dependency Management Tool like Bower and Build Tool like Gulp.

Add-ons:

• Knowledge of CSS pre-processors like LESS/SASS is a plus
• Knowledge of third-party utility libraries like PrimeNg, lodash, High charts, redux is a plus.
