We\'re seeking a future team member in the role of Lead, Full Stack, Java Developer to join our Markets Foreign Exchangeteam . This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA - Hybrid. Overview of the Team: Foreign Exchange Program Execution is a dynamic segment of our Markets business, and the technology team is structured to support this sophisticated environment through strong collaboration with our product and business partners. We design, develop, and support the application stack that drives revenue potential, achieves operational efficiencies, and services the business\'s overall growth strategy. The global team operates in multiple locations including Pittsburgh, New York, London, Singapore, and India. We embrace Agile and Open-Source technologies to build complex solutions across the broader technology stack. Role Description: FX Program Trading is an exciting and critical service proving FX pricing and execution services to our clients. We have a unique opportunity for a full-stack developer in Pittsburgh who will work with our markets product team to gather business requirements, analyze problems, and collaborate with developers in the US, UK, and India to create robust, resilient, and stable technical solutions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to enhance and expand critical revenue generating platforms using the latest technology stack and software engineering best practices. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-oriented developer who can operate in a fast-paced environment, deliver to challenging deadlines, and grow the business through servicing our clients. In this role, you\'ll make an impact in the following ways: Bachelor\'s degree in software engineering, or a related technical discipline 2-6 years of experience in software development Prior experience in analyzing and delivering software components for large-scale productionsystems. An ability to comprehend high-level requirements, define problem sources, and developsolutions. Core Java Angular Spring or Spring Boot Oracle Experience driving the resolution of production issues stemming from software, hardware, or communications breakdowns, and the ability to formulate corresponding business impacts. Exceptional candidates will exhibit experience in a combination of the following: Knowledge of securities, electronic trading systems, foreign exchange products, or the financial services industry An appreciation of operational risk Experience implementing microservices architectures. Java Persistence API Hazelcast or another distributed cache product Experience with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines MongoDB. Cucumber, Karate, or other automated testing tools. Uses existing and emerging technology platforms to design, develop and document technically detailed applications. The job holder should be able to write new complex systems (a grouping of programs involving multiple levels of table dimension and internal sorts that accomplishes a particular new function), designs and codes programs and creates test transactions. The job holder should also analyze organizational needs and goals to develop and implement application systems. Provides application software development services or technical support in situations of moderate complexity. May also be responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. Has thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Conducts reviews of the test Plan and test Data. Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code. Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites. Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions. Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain). Actively participate in code reviews. Integrate software components into a fully functional software system. Apply security and privacy principles. Execute full lifecycle software development. Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures. Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems. Ensure software is updated with latest features. Participate in deployment process following all change controls. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Active learning engagement. Complete all required mandatory training / policy awareness curricula on time. Use learning tools such as Pluralsight to complete both recommended and aspirational targets set in personal development plans. Demonstrate team work. Leverage existing products/functionality and promote reuse. Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Collaborate closely with all the other members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to. Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineers, business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions. Utilize local meetups to gain and share knowledge. Compiles documentation written by more senior developers of all procedures used in system. Acts as mentor to junior level engineers. Experience in using a specific application development toolkit and knowledge of front end and backend development coding languages such as C#, Java, HTML, NodeJS, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript. Must also have knowledge in application frameworks and containerization. Team work and organization skills. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus should have thorough knowledge of the software development cycle. The job holder must also have experience developing Front-End and Back-end. Job holder must be knowledgeable about cross-platform interoperability (multiple platforms i.e. NT, Intranet, etc.) , major tools in a toolkit for a specific platform and features of multiple toolkits. The job holder must be experienced at resolving hardware, software, and communications malfunctions and understand the business impact of resolving complications.
