Cloud and Network Services

Cloud and Network Services, include the existing Nokia Software business (excluding Mobile Networks network management), Nokia\xe2\x80\x99s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its current Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.

This Job Role is responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities that require a high level of support. This shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels and serving the customer independently directly or through customer interface.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

The position is assigned to work with troubleshooting/configuration of Core network (2G/3G/4G/5G) & Cloud infra. He is to act on network and relevant equipment problems escalated from the surveillance function. It is the responsibility of the Engineer to solve and correct service and network problems according to agreed timing and standard set, to detect and highlight network deficiencies and to some extent predict future degradations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of E2E integration and maintenance VAS Nodes (SMSC, SMSC FW,MMSC, Message Common Function, Voice Mail Services, AAA & PCRF). Troubleshooting system issues during integration, interacting with clients for requirement and analysis.
  • To ensure various configuration on VAS Nodes (SMSC, SMSC FW,MMSC, Message Common Function, Voice Mail Services, AAA & PCRF) as per customer requirement.
  • To work within well-defined system support guidelines
  • Must interact with Commercial, RA, Marketing team of the customer for new product delivery and clearing their clarifications.
  • Identify and Solve Technical Problems/Cases in VAS Nodes (SMSC, SMSC FW,MMSC, Message Common Function, Voice Mail Services, AAA & PCRF).
  • Renders on-site support in emergency cases when necessary.
  • Responsible to automate system requirement through Shell/Perl Script
  • Managing the complete life cycle of development/ support projects including analysis of the client requirements; translating new ideas into client\xe2\x80\x99s solutions; requirements development; delivery, support, analysis and documentation.
  • Troubleshooting system issues during integration, interacting with clients for requirement and analysis.
  • Must interact with third party vendors
  • Responsible for maintaining the KPIs for IN nodes
  • Communicating with the clients, interviewing end-users to know the requirements & expectations of clients
  • Client interactions in the context of issue clarifications.
  • Providing regular status reports for all the activities to higher management and Identification of issues and resolving them. Also dexterous in identifying and mitigating risk.
  • Assure both quality and customer service while leading and driving advanced/complex development tasks and projects to successful completion. Prepare documentation for the design plan, review specifications for modifications, integrating components and testing.
  • Ensure technical solutions are designed for performance, reliability, scalability, maintainability, supportability, business continuity, and business agility while leveraging industry\xe2\x80\x99s best practices.
Requirements & Qualifications:

Must have:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant engineering/science fields or relevant work experience.
  • Overall 8+ years of experience
  • 5+ years Technical Support experience with strong debugging skills: identifying and viewing logs, compare/contrast, investigation
  • Working 24*7 operation shifts
  • Practical working experience with Linux distributions
  • Knowledge of Cloud computing and Virtualization
  • Basic knowledge of IP Networks, data centers, web servers
  • Efficient/Fluent spoken and written English is a must
  • Knowledge and experience in the telecommunication domain and/or telecommunication management domain.
  • Storage: manage, create, investigate performance issues, and debug.
  • Experience with tcpdump and have networking skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.
  • Must be a self-learner with the ability independently investigate and learn new technical topics and solution.
