Description
The Network Operations Specialist focuses upon the provision of network operations advice and administration and provides monitoring, operation and management of efficient and effective networks services fulfilling the Vodafone Strategy. The Network Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in monitoring network nodes, executing event/incident management, configuration, escalation, release and deployment and 3rd party management activities, ensuring a high quality, reliable network service is available to our customers. Typically reports to the Network Operations Manager. #_VOIS
- Strong troubleshooting skills: application maintenance and & web service Middleware with special focus on Proxy, Tomcat, GIT and configuration, log analysis, basic understanding of application architecture and flows, ability to learn new flows and architecture quickly
- Expertise on Administration and troubleshooting of UNIX Operating System (Linux/Solaris) and Oracle/ Timesten Database.
- Familiar with Monitoring tools such as Netcool, Netdata, Grafna/Prometheus and Splunk
- Good knowledge on shell/Perl/Python, any scripting language
- Good experience of working on HSS, HLR, Provisioning methods and Oracle/MySQL/Timesten DB.
- Relevant Experience Telecom Domain protocols (SIP, Diameter,MLP/SLP HTTP/HTTPS, Rest-API, NETCONF, RESTCONF
- Operations and maintenance of tools, schedule scripts and other utility programs to maintain infrastructure.
- Good analytical skills to troubleshooting on production environment (Debug Logs).
- Build, implement, upgrade, and support new and existing infrastructure applications.
- Design and participate in production application and platform testing and qualification.
- Familiar with understanding of networking & security concepts.
- Impact assessment to prioritize system recovery in the event of a failure.
