Department description : Capital Markets Operations provides a range of customer and operational services across the London Stock Exchange Group. The core services provided by the department are: Technical Account Management, Technical onboarding, Software Certification, Client Support and Market Operations Services. We are looking for experienced and energetic FIX Onboarding engineers to join our Bangalore office and be part of a global FIX Onboarding team. The FIX Onboarding team is responsible for certification and onboarding of FIX clients and brokers on our industry leading multi asset class, multi broker execution managements system (REDI EMS). It is a broker-neutral, trade execution platform, which offers cross-asset trading functionality, powerful workflow and compliance tools, and rich analytics via desktop application, cloud, mobile and API. The FIX Onboarding team works closely with Sales and Account management teams, Professional Services, Product Dev, Support teams to understand bespoke business workflows and translating them into a software solution. The role on a day to day basis involves a lot of external communication with tech teams of clients/brokers and their technology vendors. The FIX Onboarding team also gets involved in various strategic projects ranging from rollout of new functionalities on the platform, system improvements, regulatory changes etc. The successful candidate will go through an extensive training of various applications in our stack. Essential Skills: Excellent understanding of FIX protocol (ver 4.2/4.4) Previous experience with any programming language (C, C++, Java). Must have knowledge of Unix or Linux based O/S Applications. Experience working with Databases on writing basic SQL queries- Oracle/SQL. Previous experience working on electronic trading environment in a FIX On boarder or FIX Support capacity. Familiarity with networking protocols, VPN, Extranet connectivity, understanding of TCP/IP concepts. Exposure to any of the following asset classes: Equities, Futures and options (Preferably Derivatives). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Flexible to work in multi time zones (HK/EU/US hours). Quick learner with strong attention to details and ability to think outside the box. Strong analytical and logical thinking capabilities. Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills. Strong team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Willing to work in rotational shifts including US hours. Desired Skills: Scripting knowledge in one of the following languages Unix/Perl/Python. Previous experience with any OMS/EMS product would be a plus. Previous experience in developing tooling & processes to drive efficiencies. Previous experience with Share point, confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing. Experience: Relevant experience of 3+ years. Education: Engg. Graduate or MCA from any premier institution.
