About the Role

Financial Accounting Associate will focus on ensuring compliance with all appropriate tax jurisdictions, advising business partners on tax implications, and validating all sales and use tax legislative changes are incorporated into processes to ensure compliance Below are the detailed responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to review AP transactions for US transaction tax compliance, validating use tax accruals and reversals, providing guidance to LOB on US transaction tax and validating US sales/use tax legislation to ensure compliance necessary to complete regulatory filings
  • Team members must develop expert knowledge of sales/use tax legislation for 45 US states and over 300 local jurisdictions
  • Accurately complete regulatory filings (sales/use tax returns).
  • Minimize the significant risk of tax, interest and penalty assessments imposed by tax jurisdictions
Essential Qualifications
  • Any Degree
  • 3-5 years of overall experience, 2-3 years of accounting/ accounts payable experience / Procurement Experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) skills
  • Experience in conducting research of US multi-state sales/use tax legislation
  • Experience with Vertex O sales/use tax software
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • PeopleSoft / SAP Ariba experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
