Job Description

The Finance Reporting Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to provide regulatory analysis and reporting in coordination with the Finance team. Additionally, the Finance Reporting Senior Manager develops reporting and control procedures to accurately prepare information required for financial reporting and analysis. The overall objective of this role is to ensure business/department financials are prepared and delivered in a timely and accurate manner. The candidate in this role will need to have strong controllers mindset and will be involved in variety of critical and complex projects. The role offers opportunity to manage a wide range of reporting and analytical tasks

Responsibilities:

• Oversee closing books and sub-ledgers at the end of each accounting period. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate financial standards and regulatory requirements based on US GAAP
• Drive the financial analysis and submission of Financial Statements and take responsibility of Month End reporting
• Lead and direct a team of professionals and manage complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret accounting policies and processes
• Strengthen the Control environment and maintain internal controls by ensuring control checks are built in the process and perform periodic process reviews. Partners with audit/ R&C team to monitor controls and accuracy of accounting.
• Lead the team in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives and standardization ideas that will increase productivity and efficiency, reduce cycle of processing time, and reduce error rates
• Work with the Sr. Vice President to set goals, track performance, and other upskilling requirements of the team as well as develop and capture Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of the team
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Identify and appropriately highlight / escalate potential issues with stakeholders such as Country controllers, regional controllers, GPSM and work with them for resolution.
• Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and able to communicate effectively with peers and Seniors within the firm and externally
• Lead and coach team members including technical and soft skill development Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• 10-15 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience Preferred Chartered Accountant (CA) / Master in Business Administration (MBA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent education
• knowledge of related financial rules and regulations Ability to work with counterparts in different areas of organization. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required
• Ability to manage workstreams in parallel and multitask
• Proven organization and time management skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills
