Overview:
As the Manager of Planning for Purchase Material and Delivery at our furniture factory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and products through the supply chain. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, and delivery of materials required for furniture production, as well as coordinating efficient delivery of finished products to customers. Your strategic thinking and meticulous execution will contribute to the overall success of the factory\'s operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Material Planning:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and inventory management, to determine material requirements based on production schedules and customer orders.
  • Utilize forecasting data, historical usage, and market trends to develop accurate material demand plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities to optimize inventory turnover while avoiding stockouts.
2. Procurement:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that ensure timely availability of required materials at the best possible cost.
  • Source new suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish contracts to secure the supply of materials.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, track delivery times, and address any discrepancies or issues that may arise.


3. Production Coordination:
  • Work closely with production managers to align material availability with production schedules, avoiding production delays.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to prioritize production orders based on material availability and customer deadlines.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential bottlenecks in the production process through effective planning.
4. Delivery Planning:
  • Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to plan efficient delivery routes for finished products to customers.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of products while optimizing transportation costs and minimizing lead times.
  • Monitor delivery progress and address any delivery-related issues or delays proactively.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Collect and analyse data related to material usage, procurement costs, delivery times, and other relevant metrics.
  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain.
6. Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for inventory management, demand forecasting, and procurement processes.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional improvement projects to enhance overall factory operations.

Job Expectations:


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master\'s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in supply chain management, procurement, or materials planning, preferably within the furniture manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement strategies, demand forecasting, and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to coordinate and motivate cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master\'s degree is a plus.
