Job Description


The Risk, Compliance and Controls (RCC) Technology team within Corporate Technology delivers a wide range of technology solutions to support the firm's Risk Management functions (Credit Risk, Market Risk, Country Risk, Operational Risk, Reputational Risk), Compliance functions (Trade Surveillance, Financial Crimes, Electronic Communication, Employee Compliance), and Control functions (first and second line of defense controls). Controls and Operational Risk Technology team within the Control and risk functions handles the operational risk management within the first and second lines of defense controls. Controls and Regulatory Technology team in India is looking to hire an Executive Director as Lead for Controls and Operational Risk Technology for RCC to help accelerate our digital transformation (cloud enablement, microservices, agile transformation, UX design, M/L, and product operating model) for our platform solutions that comprise of multiple applications/products dealing with operational risk management. This role will have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Deliver best in class technology solutions on modern tech stack adhering to the firm's process and data hygiene standards.
  • Partner with the product owners in Controls team and Operational Risk technology teams to define and execute digital roadmap onto Cloud, use of ML for automation and process improvements, and adoption of Product operating model0.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Business Partners across levels to enable teams deliver robust solutions at scale and speed.
  • Build and nurture high performing teams of Engineers, Architects, Agility Leads, and managers.
The individual would have deep expertise in designing and building applications in cloud along with strong familiarity in engineering practices like CI/CD, Agile, etc. She or he will also have strong influencing and negotiating skills and be able to advance the regulatory technology area's roadmap programs such as public cloud adoption and execution, Rationalization of Platforms, and process transformations. The person should possess very strong leadership skills in building and leading technical teams. Should be able to influence the broader organization in defining and executing on the product roadmap. Qualifications :

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in building enterprise level solutions.
  • Strong leadership expertise in managing high performance engineering teams.
  • Proven experience in working with and influencing senior business and technology partners.
  • Financial Industry experience preferred but not required
  • In addition:
    • Strong development experience in building enterprise applications across varied platforms preferably as cloud native solutions
    • Strong managerial experience in driving business outcomes and managing multiple development teams
    • Strong expertise in developing applications leveraging RDBMS, Big Data platforms, CI/CD Pipelines, Agile, BI Tools, Programming Languages (Preferably Java). Exposure and experience in public cloud is preferred
    • Strong analytical and communication skills both written and verbal
    • Rich experience in managing talent and handling culture transformation
