The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our organization, ensuring that we are operating efficiently and effectively to meet business goals. In this role, you will be the face of our company, working closely with the Board of Directors, government officials and the public. You will ensure that staff members are aligned with the company's mission and vision and that we are working together to successfully achieve strategic objectives. Our company has a close-knit culture in which we place a high priority of communication, recognition and collaboration. We are in search of an Executive Director who is aligned with our culture and will continue to enhance it through positive leadership.Job ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility.Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that meet business goals and objectives created in partnership with the Board of Directors
  • Recruit and develop a team of senior leaders to manage critical business functions
  • Ensure commitment to and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations across the organization
  • Create a culture of transparency and communication throughout the organization
  • Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders and government agencies
  • Proactively address challenges in the internal and external environment to protect business interests
  • Coaching department heads
  • Act as the public face and spokesperson of the company, helping to build and enhance the organisation's reputation
Leadership and Strategy
  • Design, develop, and implement a strategic plan;
- Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, consistent quality of finance and administration; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals * Develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction.
  • Actively engage and energize volunteers, board members, committees, alumni, partnering organizations, and funders.
  • Ensure effective systems to regularly evaluate program components and to identify outcomes that can be communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents.
Fundraising and Communications
  • Expand local revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
  • Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand.
  • Develop community connections and use external presence and relationships to garner new
opportunities.Day to Day Activities
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization by monitoring progress towards goals, making adjustments when necessary, and ensuring that all projects meet their deadlines
  • Representing the organization in meetings with donors, government officials, members of the media, volunteers, and other stakeholders
  • Overseeing the organization's human resources needs by hiring, training, and supervising staff members
  • Implementing new ideas and strategies for increasing the organization's impact
  • review reports submitted by senior managers to better understand the company's financial and non-financial position
Requirements
  • Master's degree in business administration or related field
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans
  • Deep understanding of financial strategies and finance-related performance metrics
  • Strong aptitude for verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship development
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in management and governance
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check
