EY Global Delivery Services (GDS)
Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a global priority for the firm. GDS is an important component of EY’s Vision 2020 strategy and has an ever-increasing shared services footprint across the world, including five centers in India (Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Kochi and Trivandrum), and in Argentina, China, Poland and the Philippines. GDS headcount is currently at about 40,000.
About the team
GDS Consulting has two sub-service lines; business consulting and technology consulting. Business Consulting houses 2,800 people which 1,800 of it in the commercial business or non-FSO teams. It is one of the most mature and innovative service lines – growing to 30% YOY – and known to be the bread and butter of EY from a consulting perspective.
The Finance practice is a part of the Business Consulting services and has a significant importance in the overall EY world given market trends and demand for services and solutions, creating a strong team in GDS to support Regions in winning, delivering, and growing the Finance practice and to manage this large Field of Play (FoP) is crucial. The Finance Leader will report to the Business Transformation Leader and will be primarily responsible in supporting and growing the entire practice.
Essential Functions of the Job:

• Build and scale the GDS Finance practice to achieve 10% penetration in the next 12-18 months and 30% by FY23 from the current <5% penetration
• Attract and build a strong team of Finance professionals via external talent infusion, and strengthen inhouse capabilities
• Demonstrate strong capabilities to establish GDS credibility with Area leaders / Region leaders / Sponsors as the Finance solution champion
• Design and execute the blueprint of global Finance solutions and help Regions in taking these to market.
• Demonstrate thought leadership by infusing new ideas and assets to improve the GDS brand in the Finance community
• Build trust, personal credibility, and influence with stakeholders
• Help Regions win in the market and improve financial metrics through leveraging GDS

Other elements that the Finance Leader is expected to influence include the following;

• Address challenges to growth, and demonstrate ability to plan and mitigate these effectively
• Consistently embed quality processes and automation into methodology/delivery processes for large transformation programs
• Manage, collaborate and team effectively with Region stakeholders
• Delivery quality and industrialization agenda
• Manage large and distributed teams across the globe to successfully deliver on programs

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Global Finance Consulting experience
• Candidate needs to have stakeholder relationship/management expertise
• A thought leader/competency Finance practice leader who can identify market trends.
• A thinking process that can come up with new offerings, not just knowing or understanding what the market is saying.
• Ideally, with technology background on Finance Solutions
