Introduction:

The role will be a ETL Senior developer role. The candidate needs to own the ETL technical delivery includes requirement analysis, Tech design and ETL technical delivery for the modules/projects assigned to the team.

Majority of the work requires Oracle PL/SQL skill set.

What will you be doing?

  • Guide and mentor the junior team members on all technical aspects related to Oracle PL/SQL based ETL processes.
  • Should be able to deliver the module assigned to the candidate independently with minimal help and should be able to track the tasks for his colleagues and vendor partners and resolve blockers for the candidateaAEURA(TM)s team.
  • Should be willing to explore and learn Oracle PL/SQL features that candidate might have not used in the past.
  • Should be able own and deliver his modules from development to implementation.
What weaAEURA(TM)re looking for: * Proficient in Oracle PL/SQL batch and/or continuous flow processes. Must have hands-on knowledge. Will have to build & deliver his module along with guiding junior members for the technical deliverables adhering to the technical design that candidate will build. Candidate will essentially own delivery of module assigned to him by his lead.
  • Should have work with heterogeneous platform based ETL projects dealing with complex EBCIDIC files, Oracle database, Hadoop files etc.
  • Should have hands on experience on Oracle DB objects like Package, Procedures, Function, View, Index, Partition creation etc.
  • Should communicate effectively with US team and other stakeholders in India and US and should be able to estimate effort required for this tasks at least. Basic experience in planning for delivery will be required. Should be able to create WBS and assign tasks to team members (both permanent and SI partners), track them to completion & ensure quality delivery on time.
  • Should have worked with TWS (preferred) or some other scheduling tool.
  • Should be able to adjust to flexible working hours so that the candidate gets enough time to interact with the US time to effectively capture knowledge, requirements and then produce deliverables.
  • Should be able to write complex SQL and should have worked with databases in past.
  • Should understand the following concepts in PL/SQL and preferable to have hands on experience on most.
  • Analytical Functions, Correlated SQLs, Usage of ROWNUM and behavior on ORDER BY clauses, Aggregate functions and difference with Analytical Functions, Dynamic SQLs, SQL Loader
  • Cursors, Procedures, functions, triggers, packages, Collections (Varray, Nested Tables, Associate Arrays), Usage of Bulk Collect with save exceptions, Exception Handling
  • Basics of following : Partitioning, Understanding of Explain Plan and Access Paths , Indexes, Optimizer Hints, Stats Gathering
  • Should be able to work in Unix based environments and write shell scripts etc.
Skills that will help you in the role: * Oracle PL/SQL development proficiency (Primary Skill)
  • Abinitio development proficiency (Secondary Skill) aAEURA" good to have
  • Hands on Knowledge of PL/SQL implementations
  • Oracle database skills., Aware of other no-SQL databases, mongo db etc.
  • Unix scripting skills
