THE ROLE As an Engineering Director over our Core Marketplace Services group, you will lead 6 of our engineering squads delivering mission critical services across the Eventbrite platform. This includes our Identity team over user management services, Privacy, Risk & Fraud, and other horizontal services leveraged by engineering teams across Eventbrite. You will be involved in setting strategy and direction that aligns with Eventbrite\xe2\x80\x99s customer-first mindset, delivering best-in-class technical solutions in these spaces, and continuing to grow and mature the teams in your organization. Your role will be pivotal in continuing to grow Eventbrite\xe2\x80\x99s engineering presence in our new India office.

THE SKILL SET

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, information systems, math, engineering, or other technical field
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams
• 15 years of software development experience, including 3+ years of experience managing other managers
• Experience with AWS or other major cloud providers
• Experience concurrently leading multiple teams and managers.
• Comfortable with the 50K ft view as well as diving into the details
• Experience partnering with cross-functional leaders to define strategy, goals, and roadmaps
• Successfully recruited and mentored strong managers and developers
• Experience in scaling world class engineering teams

• You have built engineering teams from the ground up
• Prior management of teams across the stack \xe2\x80\x94 frontend, backend, and infrastructure \xe2\x80\x94 is a significant plus as teams at Eventbrite have full autonomy and ownership of their services
