Job Description

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and testing in support of electrical systems and / or power distribution and generation
• Work with a multidisciplinary engineering design team: electrical, mechanical, software, technical support, productivity engineers, and suppliers, on the design, modification.
• Creates electrical schematics and system based on requirements and creates/releases engineering drawings & bill of materials
• Outstanding analysis and proven trouble-shooting skills and ability to drive functional requirements & execute in a dynamic team environment
• Maintain and develop process checkpoints to ensure adherence to design standards and schedules. Work with leadership peers to drive process improvements as necessary.
• Assists with development, and refinement of functional specifications for electrical systems and power distribution
• Learns Products, PDR processes & DFMEA principles and Owns PDR tasks/Simple sub-system/medium complex CIP/Medium complex designs using appropriate project management tools.
• Update stake holders on deliverables & timelines including Global stakeholders
• Well versed with Problem Reports, Part life cycle management and Obsolescence management activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering or electrical & electronics engineering with minimum of 6 to 8 years of related experience; or master’s degree with minimum of 3 to 5 year of experience
• Proficient in concept design and Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation required
• Understanding of cable harness, Electrical Modules manufacturing, assembly and testing
• Working experience in electronic/ Electrical circuit design and development like AUTOCAD, I-Deas, Zuken E3.
• Familiar with different design standards and compliances like – NEC, NFPA, UL 508, IEC standard, IPC 620, SEMI Standard (Electrical)

• Excellent people, communication, and presentation skills to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, internal and external partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with capital equipment, Electrical control/Power box or similar (for e.g., process industries, aircraft, etc.) industry in a sub-system / module design project
• Experience in selection of components, setting up equipment for experimentation / testing in laboratory environment, setting up safe practices
• Experience of power distribution and/or control system design of systems is a BIG plus
• Experienced in system level understanding of Electrical architecture, IO Controllers/PLC and Applications
• Good communication skills and experience of working in cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
