[Electrical Engineer - Offshore]Reports To: Job Overview: Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects. Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. Interacting daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them in the field. Job Role and Responsibilities:
Basic Electrical/ Instrument Design & Drafting for preparation of drawings
Preparation of basic & details engineering drawing for offshore applications.
Preparation of BOM, MTO for electrical system.
Preparation of electrical layout drawings.
Understanding existing system recommending system upgradation with detailed drawings.
Onsite inspection for up gradation / retrofit Projects in Offshore industry.
Study of short circuit calculation & updating the calculation for retrofit.
Liaising with clients /internal multi discipline teams for engineering design.
Preparing estimates and schedules as well as assisting in their review
Basic understanding of cable selection & breaker selection
Basic understanding short circuit calculation
Shall be able to read and understand electrical circuit diagrams, SLD etc and related calculation.
Basic understanding of load flow analysis.
Testing / pre-commissioning of transformer, HT and LT switchgear including testing of protection / control system (CTs, relays, meters etc.). Battery charger, Battery banks and UPS at yards, process gas compressor auxiliaries, generators, energisation of lighting system, load balancing and illumination level of lighting system.
Electrical works installation of equipment installation, cable tray routing, sizing, support etc.
Paging and communication system layout, Cable laying, termination, dressing etc.
Preparation of inspection reports
Inspection & testing as per approved client specifications, tender scope of work, QAP, Drawing, PO etc.
Ensuring QA/QC as per specifications and standard
Battery Electric, HVAC knowledge etc. will be an added advantage
Performing engineering design and related duties; including, power system studies, equipment specifications and selection, management of vendor / equipment suppliers, power distribution layouts, grounding, LV and MV motor sizing and selection, cable distribution design, schematic, single line, termination schedule and wiring design
Automation panel design & estimation
Working experiences with low voltage (LV: 110V to 1KV) and medium voltage (MV: 1kV to 35kV) power distribution system and related equipment and regulations.
Knowledge of professional tools/software: AutoCAD, ETAP, CREO, or equivalent.
Excellent communication skill in English, both oral and written.
Positive working attitude, willing to learn, ability to cohesively work as a team and take up new skill sets.
Good knowledge and experience in Offshore or Onshore industries.
Able to work independently & in Team.
Licensed professional engineer (preferable PEO) who practices in electrical engineering.
Minimum 5 years of Electrical engineering experiences.
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical Engineering or related areas
