Provide engineering support to facilities day to day operations, facility infrastructure, test cells, and test rig design/construction.r r
r Position Responsibilitiesr r

• r
• Support test rig calibrations and maintenancer
• Support engine test cell modifications/upgrades & calibrationsr
• Support test rig electrical design and buildr
• Support test rig control system design and programmingr
• Support test rig datalogging system design and buildr
• Design & upgrade engine component development test rigsr
• Troubleshoot facility testing infrastructure equipment such as gas compressors, cooling towers, dynamometers, daq systems, etcr
• Support internal customers special requirements for modifications to existing equipment and development of new systemsr
• Support automotive harness buildsr

r r Position Requirementsr r

• r
• B. ASc. in electrical or electro-mechanical engineering with 2-4 year experiencer
• Strong electrical aptitude and hands on troubleshooting skillsr
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical standardsr
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagramsr
• Ability to read and interpret process diagramsr
• Knowledge of instrumentation and process systemsr
• Strong knowledge & understanding of electronics and power engineeringr
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and how to work safely around electrical equipmentr
• Strong aptitude for Programmingr
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)r
• Knowledge of electrical component selection for hazardous rated locations would be an assetr
• Knowledge of PLC programming would be an assetr
• Knowledge of LabView Programming would be an assetr
• Basic knowledge of mechanical principles would be an assetr
• Experience designing and building test rigs would be an assetr
• Experience working in a R&D environment would be an assetr
• Experience with automotive harness builds would be an assetr
• Familiarity with Microsoft Officer
• Min. 3 years experience working in a professional, technical environmentr
