The Corporate / Social Responsibility focus specializes in implementing, executing and designing a strategy for the organization and creating goals, policies and programs. Develop measures to identify the environmental impact of the organization\'s operations and ensure value-creating sustainability initiatives. This job family is in the management level category and is below the executive management. Incumbents in this job family are typically responsible for directing and guiding the work of teams and/or individuals. Typically incumbents would be responsible for performance reviews, pay reviews, and may have hire/fire decision making authority

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Act as system owner to the Group sustainability data management system.
  • Lead the development of a strong data management system to ensure that all data are robust and stands up to external scrutiny.
  • The successful implementation and continuous improvement of the internal sustainability data platform with the end goal of standardisation, digitization and automation of the global data collection and reporting processes across NTT Ltd.
  • Responsible for leading the group external assurance programme covering carbon, water, energy and other key sustainability metrics. Including contract management, tender selection, performance monitoring and financial accountability.
  • Owns the development of the Sustainability data platform driving the execution of the agreed roadmap with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Accountable for timely Sustainability reporting, public disclosure and working with marketing to develop new sales collateral.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the ESG improvement plan, and timely submission of EcoVadis, TCFD and UNGC COP disclosures.
  • Responsible for development, implementation, and governance of the client impact measurement methodology for NTT Ltd. products and services portfolio working with NTT Ltd. top vendors, regional business units and global service divisions.
  • Be the principle data owner of sustainability data utilising this technical expertise to support colleagues across NTT Ltd., this might include developing and aligning data to external financial agreements, statutory reports and high profile public commitments.
  • Analyse group performance against defined performance measures and provide detailed periodic reports as required by the ExCo.
  • Support in developing products and services which can enhance the net zero offers for NTT Ltd. clients by providing sustainability leadership and technical expertise.
  • Responsible for the management and reporting of the Group Principal Risk for Sustainability and the cascade to third parties as integrated into the Third Party Risk Management processes.
Knowledge, skills, and attributes
  • Expertise in GHG emissions reporting and public disclosure frameworks (GHG Protocol, TCFD, CSRD, UNGC COP, EcoVadis).
  • Proactive approach coupled with confidence in the area of expertise and the ability to facilitate business conversations and drive outcomes and impact.
  • Minimum 5 years experience of working with complex data and in heavily regulated industry.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to influence colleagues and key external stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and external stakeholders across a truly global company to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in understanding the links between business activity and sustainability impacts.
  • Experience in writing statutory reports and formulating and submitting data for regulators, shareholders and investors.
  • Experience of managing data systems to ensure high quality data is consistently available whilst also having experience of the impacts of external publishing of data and commercial sensitivity.
  • Experience in verification of large quantities of environmental data and investigating anomalies.
  • Experience of the completion of environmental, greenhouse gas or sustainability audits.
  • Adaptability to work in a range of environments and across different geographies and timescales.
  • Proactive self-starter, with proven ability to operate with little supervision and to use initiative to tackle issues that arise.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication, PowerPoint, Excel and presentation skills.
Academic qualifications and certifications:
  • Undergraduate degree, and/or Masters in scientific, sustainability, or environment discipline.
  • IT related discipline would be advantageous.
  • Project Management (PMP/ PRINCE2) or Agile Product Management Qualification would be advantageous.
Experience required:
  • Demonstrable experience working in a similar position in a global matrix organization.
  • Experience leading portfolio of programmes and projects through the full life cycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in working closely with a variety of internal and external
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement experience at all levels in the organization, including C-suite.
