Job Description

The Director should posses excellent Academic and Administrative skills . He/She will be responsible for overall development of the school and the management of academic programs through distance modes. He/She should aim to establish NGASCE as a leading brand providing quality distance education through uniquely developed curriculum delivery, support system. He/She should be able to take the vision of the University forward . He/she should understand the emerging trends and opportunities, have a creative and innovative bent of mind, should be technology savvy, an institution builder, motivator, should be able to handle the faculty and academic administration of the school/centers. He/She will also look after the student affairs. He/She will formulate, review & upgrade the curriculum, invite eminent faculty, market the program to enhance quality of intake. He/She is required to direct academic growth of the Programs including continuous improvement in ongoing programs and bring about changes and innovations in keeping with the changing requirements. Plan and Manage the budget in terms of revenue, expenses, fixed expenses/capital expenses etc. relating to the programs in close coordination with CEO and Finance Officer. Develop Courses and programs along with instruction materials for the school. Develop and establish a student friendly learning management system which inter alia is capable of using multimedia for online instructions, tutoring, conducting exams, responding to queries etc. In close coordination with the Controller of Examinations and CEO. Observe University Guidelines regarding statues, ordinances, regulations, rules and other directions or orders issued from time to time. He/ She will be responsible for taking necessary corrective measure related to any malpractices in any Academic Programs and report the same to the CEO/Vice Chancellor from time to time. Ensure that the uniform standards are maintained with regards to Academic curriculum, examinations, evaluation system, etc. of off Centre campus. He /She will be responsible for ensuring all statutory and regulatory compliances. Qualification & Experience He/She should have Ph.D. from one of the premier Institutes at National/International level with at least 15 years of Academic and Administrative experience in the field. Should have strong linkages & network with industry & academics. Should be well acquainted with various Accreditation Agencies and Statutory bodies as well as the procedures.
In case the candidate is from the Industry then he/she should have 15-20 years of experience in the relevant field at senior managerial level or above.
