Reporting - VP/GM & Managing Director, India & South Asia Title: Director, Marketing
This is a India leadership role for leading Strategy, Marketing, & Commercial Excellence for India and South Asia. The role will be instrumental in developing and driving India\xe2\x80\x99s growth strategy, drive strategic marketing initiatives including new market(s) development and partner with the COEs to deliver on the digital transformation goals. This is a unique role that requires critical thinking and a techno-commercial approach, working closely across commercial, finance, IT, and cross-functional teams, to improve customer experience and drive efficiency. Responsibilities: Strategy & Commercial Excellence: You will be accountable for and support the development and execution of strategies to accelerate growth and deepen customer intimacy. The role will support key growth segments to implement strategy deployment tools, critical metric leadership, and vital A3s for ensuring the successful execution of the 5-year strategic plan.
  • Providing overall cross-divisional leadership in the areas of country analyses, industry/marketing analysis, competitor benchmark and customer research, financial analysis, alliances/partnership strategy development, etc.
  • Work with India leadership team to lead and facilitate the India Strategic Planning process (STRAP). Work closely with all commercial and functional leaders to define India\xe2\x80\x99s strategy and support processes to ensure effective execution and implementation.
  • Implementation of commercial excellence (CE) roadmap: The role of CE is to increase the level of commercial discourse and decision-making in the company.
Market Development:
  • Exploring new market segments to enable growth initiatives for India. Provide market insights, competitor analysis, market intelligence for the segment. Organize Customer/Market segment events, like Discovery Days to understand needs & accordingly work with Divisions to provide solution.
  • Market Intelligence: Staying ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact market development strategies. Providing timely insights to leadership.
  • Working closely with internal divisional teams to ensure alignment and harmony in new market development efforts.
  • Driving revenue streams from newly development market segments
  • Reporting and Metrics: Establishing key performance indicators and regularly reporting on the success of new market development initiatives. Making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver on the vertical markets strategy by creating approaches of the India country model. This will include aligning the cross-divisional strategy to drive business growth and sales lead generation.
  • Build frameworks to expand Thermo Fisher\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio by building capabilities to demonstrate our total customer value proposition in partnership with regional and global teams.
  • Partner to build a comprehensive strategy to participate in government strategic investments.
  • Stimulate the out-of-box thinking growth culture to influence on the business plan: Lead the establishment of standard practice creation and sharing, replicating successful market development model from one to another.
Marketing: This function is responsible for creating and leading sustainable market leadership positions for Thermo Fisher in India. You will serve as a critical business partner to the India leadership team to plan, ensuring a strategic and coordinated marketing approach across divisions.
  • Lead India Marketing Council and cross-functional teams charged with planning, crafting, and implementing multi-channel marketing initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives. Adhere and enforce global brand identity principles and guidelines in conjunction. Build and drive standard methodologies.
  • Delivering Thermo Fisher\xe2\x80\x99s unique value proposition to the customers through end-to-end solutions and institutionalizing workflow selling
  • Apply practical process improvement to drive operational efficiency and streamlined processes, continuously improving performance and delivery to the business.
  • Drive strong sales and marketing alignment with initiatives and processes that support strong lead management, improved lead quality, enhanced data quality, and tools, and template.
Corporate Communications: The objective of this function is to establish thought leadership and deliver a simple-to-understand message about the role of Thermo Fisher in accelerating innovation and improving efficiency in scientific laboratories around the world across.
  • Develop a crucial communications plan for India to build awareness among key audiences and combine earned, owned, and paid media to position Thermo Fisher as one of the most admired companies.
  • Support the communications team\xe2\x80\x99s planning and execution of change management activities and lead crisis communications preparation and response
People Leadership:
  • Attract, develop, and retain diverse talent across junior to senior levels across the organization. Develop succession across the team
  • Establish vision and performance goals for the team in alignment with team and organizational priorities with a focus on getting results through 4i values and proficiency framework.
Qualifications:
  • 15-20 years of commercial experience with exposure across Strategy, Sales & Marketing, commercial excellence.
  • 5+ years of marketing leadership/consulting experience highly desirable
  • Strong eye for business with proven ability to understand, analyze and assimilate complex issues thereby formulating clear strategies and initiatives
  • Consistent track record of effectively driving large-scale change initiatives.
  • Strong collaborative and influencing skills to navigate through the matrixed organization
  • Significant experience in building and leading successful direct and matrixed teams
