Job Summary
The IT Quality Assurance (QA) Director will be based out of NetApp Bengaluru (Bangalore) site reporting into an IT VP. This position will provide leadership and direction to the IT QA team and collaborate with other leaders across IT. This Director oversees the implementation of policies, procedures, and automation/tooling to ensure the success of our QA function for enterprise-wide IT. This role evaluates and monitors tools, methodologies, and automation to ensure effective testing and identification of defects.
The IT QA Director is responsible for defining and promoting a quality mindset and strategy across the organization. This position creates a strategic vision, matures, and directs quality assurance policies, program, and initiatives. It develops, implements, enforces, and improves upon quality standards, tools, and methods to assure quality across new and existing products and services. Strong working knowledge of best practices in QA is required.
Your team will consist of people managers and Individual contributors along with resources from our staffing partners. You need to have experience managing large diverse teams with a proven record of developing and growing a QA team. You need to be familiar with project management methodologies such as Agile, Kanban, waterfall, and development methodologies such as DevOps, automated testing, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
1. Building, mentoring, and leading teams toward common goals, inspiring peak performance of direct team members
2. Manage budgets and aggressive schedules/timelines
3. QA/Testing methodologies, best practices and tools
4. Clearly communicate technical concepts at all levels
5. Drive technology change and quality practices/improvements
6. Working with varied Business and IT stakeholders and becoming their trusted advisor
7. Working in a matrix organization with competing priorities in a global delivery model
8. Bonus experience in: a. Selenium Test Automation Tool - Open-Source Tool, b. MicroFocus UFT Test Automation Tool , c. MicroFocus LoadRunner(Load and Performance Tool), d. Azure DevOps
Education
Minimum of 15yrs experience directly managing large technology teams
3-5 years (min) managing a successful QA/Testing department/team
Bachelors in Computer Science or related field, MBA will be a plus
Extensive experience in IT Application Delivery and testing methodologies
Experience working as a SI consultant a plus
