Director, IT Applications and India Site Lead

The charter of the Digital Transformation Office

The Digital Transformation Office is a new function critical to the continued success and growth of Pure Storage. Its charter encompasses two areas of focus: * Driving growth and faster business outcomes through IT
  • Accelerating the adoption of Pure as-a-Service (PaaS) - the solution that makes our existing products available as a service for our customers
Director, IT Applications and India Site Lead

We are seeking a strong IT leader with proven experience in building up a new India site from ground up for a Technology company. In this role, for the first 12 months your main focus (75-80%) will be to build the Bengaluru based DTG organization - comprising Pure IT, Pure Security Office, Digital Products and PMO. From a longer term perspective, you will be part of the global Pure IT Business Applications team focussing on digital transformation projects that drive the desired business outcomes.

What will you do?
  • Build the org, ensuring that our global processes and values are applied
  • Establish rapport, credibility and cohesion across all the DTG teams ensuring a sense of identity in a remote site
  • Develop a strategy for attracting, hiring and retaining the right talent for all DTG India positions and execute on that strategy, enabling the organization to meet its hiring and diversity goals
  • Develop on-boarding, training and mentoring programs for the DTG India employees
  • Act as a sounding board to the global DTG leaders in the development of the India organization
  • Bring credibility as the DTG representative on the India leadership team and work with the local leadership on any operational matters (space allocations, event planning, volunteer programs etc.)
  • Be the face of DTG in the local community (e.g. visit universities to build recruiting pipelines, run job fairs etc.)
What you bring to the team

The experienced candidate that we will identify has a very good understanding of the India IT market and its opportunities as well as challenges.

An influential and credible leader with broad technical and functional expertise you are able to build an org with the right balance of potential and skills.

Your deep domain expertise in ERP and SCM will add value as we undertake transformational projects to modernize and innovate our solutions.

Desired qualifications
  • Strong high tech background with 15+ years of professional experience with a focus on building technical - IT and product - teams
  • Hands on expertise in ERP and Supply Chain SaaS solutions and processes
  • Experience with cross-functional senior stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated track record of matrixed leadership through influence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with heavy emphasis on teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization internally and externally
  • Team player who brings a sense of positive energy and the ability to influence, inspire and motivate cross-functional partners across the organization
  • BS/BA, and MBA preferred
