THE POSITION
The position reports to the Managing Director and serves as a member of the Senior Leadership team.
This position participates with the Executive team directors Managing Director and other management staff in charting the direction of the division, assuring its accountability and ensuring its effective operation within the organization, the position has primary working relationships with other senior management team, staff of the finance, distribution, Communications/P.R.function, Medical and other enabling functions.
Functionally, the position reports to the Head of AH ALAMEA Region, and is a member of the ALAMEA Leadership Team. Works together with the Regional Business Manager to ensure the adaptation and implementation of the global strategy and global / regional initiatives.
Tasks & responsibilities
Strategy and business results delivery:
- Lead AH OPU management team/organisation to effectively implement corporate, global and regional strategies at the local level to achieve agreed KPIs/targets.
- Identifies market trends, risks and growth opportunities and provide insights to the ROPU on ways to anticipate and successfully address them and embrace customer needs.
- Builds external networks, develops and maintains strong relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, industry associations and government representatives to facilitate AH strategy implementation and achieve the business objectives.
- Overall P&L, budget and profitability responsibility for OPU AH business.
Compliance and risk management:
- Acts as legal representative and compliance champion for the OPU AH business to ensure that the business meets legal requirements, regulatory and ethical standards as well as overall compliance with BI policies and procedures.
- Ensures that the corporate procedure on crisis prevention and management is properly implemented and followed through.
- Responsible for crisis management and media relations activities to protect the reputation of the company and the safety of all employees in alignment with the ROPU.
- Fosters a culture that realizes and delivers Value through Innovation and builds an environment of mutual trust which allows issues to be brought forward and resolved
- Acts as guardian of BI values and culture
