: Role:
The Director-ITKM, SRM AP is a full time on-campus role who heads the department of Information
Technology and Knowledge management for the SRM AP University, comprising of 3 schools
offering 30 degree programs with over 1200 student intake every year.
Responsibilities:
 Develop and implement a technology roadmap that aligns with SRMAP vision and mission and
deliver both short-term and long-term results.
 Define Strategy and set up KRAs in line with University’s mission and vision, and contribute
to the overall university’s growth
 Establish and govern the Directorates for Information Technology and Knowledge
Management, and Corporate Communications
 Collaborate with the University leadership team to contribute in the overall universities’
strategic planning and management.
 Deploy cutting edge technology infrastructure for enabling SRMAP community to have state-
of-art IT facility.
 Prepare strategies to make SRMAP as a technology enabled university in academic and
administrative functions
 Take up all the digital initiatives and provide technical leadership enabling university’s
transformation journey
 Implement best practices and Formulate policies and processes in line with industry trends
keeping in view the network security, data and information privacy.
 Implement various technology solutions to maintain and ensure high availability of the existing
infrastructure and systems
 Take up initiatives to enhance technology adoption – applications (ERP, etc.) among academic
and administrative staff so that the data and information is available for strategic decisions
 Promote the SRM University, AP brand and its presence in various media – digital, print, and
audio/visual, using social media and print media
 Manage the website and ensure that latest happenings are uploaded on time, the website design
is aesthetic, dynamic and reflects the brand of the university, following all the standards.
 Build a customer-centric department, extending their efforts beyond call of the duty, to meet
the growing needs of academic and research community
 Conceptualize the stakeholder active participation in enhancing the SRMAP brand in social
media space for a wider outreach.

Review all the branded collaterals and guide the team to ensure that brand is represented well
in all medium, and brand compliance is not violated.
 Develop and define metrics and key performance indicators; for the department/s, including for
each team member.
 Define review mechanism and track the performance of every individual in the departments
 Build, lead and manage self-motivated and result-driven IT team that is able to perform at the
highest levels, cutting across all the levels of department/s
 To focus on strategizing/developing plans and budgets for the campus wide information
technology infrastructure, networking services and maintenance;
 Develop and enforce appropriate IT policies and guidelines; responsible for setting up the
IT infrastructure and Networks, start the process of implementing cutting-edge
Information Technology for the University;
 Evaluate campus' current IT related requirements and develop overall roadmap to meet
future requirements for continuous improvement; work with departments and units to
support their ICT aims and objectives,
 Assist in development of short and long term computing and technology priorities; manage
entire IT Infrastructure, Budgeting, Vendor Management, Asset Management and
Procurement and implementation of multiple system and applications
 Develop IT Strategies and advise management on various business process, meeting and
discussing with vendor partners to understand the best in the industry solutions
 Monitor daily operations to ensure that Infrastructure as a whole provides a high degree of
reliability; inspecting Hardware & Network, User Issues, IT Security & Policy and
documentation on a regular basis
 Lead the IT support function for all departments in the campus in troubleshooting system,
network and applications related issues; collaborate closely with the other Campuses and
the University's IT organization, with the objective of full and seamless integration.
 Responsible for creating, sharing, using & managing the knowledge and information
related to the university to achieve the organisational objectives by making the best use of
knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in computer information systems/ IT, management or
related field from a recognized University/Institute
  • Preference would be given to candidate having at least 10 years of experience in similar
profile with a reputed University / Higher Educational Institution
  • Candidate is expected to demonstrate good knowledge of (not limited to) information
technology, information security administration, network management and systems
administration
  • Candidate is expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must
have an intimate knowledge of the higher education landscape in India and internationally
  • Preference would be given for candidates from top engineering institutes with global
exposure handling large volume of students
