Legal @ Sinch India:
The legal team is an important part of the business and supports all Sinch India teams, helping Sinch India achieve its goals. Legal team is responsible for providing accurate and risk mitigating advice aligned with Sinch\xe2\x80\x99s best interests and guided by Sinch\xe2\x80\x99s ethical standards of doing business. Legal team responds to high priority topics and works on challenging legal issues in a fast paced environment.

Job Overview:
This is an individual contributor position and will report to the India legal head. To be successful in this role, you should have exceptional negotiation, contractual drafting, and business communication skills along with a proactive and hands-on approach coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of commercial contracts, including customer services agreements, alliance, and partnership agreements, telecom operator contracts. Review tender documents, bids, contract documents for risk analysis and mitigation steps, and accordingly respond to the bids, including government tenders.
• Counsel sales, product, and telecom operator teams on a broad range of legal matters and advise on business initiatives; undertake risk identification and propose mitigations; be involved in resolving issues that arise in commercial relationships.
• Develop the privacy program for Sinch India mirroring the Sinch group privacy program and ensure compliance by educating and liaising with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate with law enforcement authorities and investigation agencies as part of Sinch India\xe2\x80\x99s VMN fraud handling efforts.
• Manage relationships and processes with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Work with legal team members to develop practice standards and department processes, effectively communicate legal and policy issues.

Qualifying Criteria:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in law from a premiere law college with 5 to 9 years of relevant experience in technology and telecom sector.
• Combination of in-house experience with multinational and private practice experience.
• Strong subject matter knowledge and foundation in commercial law and contract negotiation.
• Demonstrated privacy and data protection competency. DSCI/IAPP certified privacy professionals are preferred.
