Deputy Manager, Investment Operations Gurgaon, Haryana-India AXA XL Investments manages approx. Euro 38 billion of investment portfolio. AXA XL Investment has three strategic locations for its operations. New York, Bermuda, and India.Investment Operations is responsible for maintaining a high degree of data integrity, multiple system maintenance, and high-end reporting delivery along with other operational tasks for AXA XL Investment Management. Consumers of this data include Fixed Income, Investment reporting, Investment Compliance, and Risk management teams. The Data Integrity Team is a part of Global Investment Operations Group, It is a dedicated group of professionals who ensure that all AXA XL cash & and positions data are accurate for critical processes including investment management, analytics, compliance, and regulatory reporting. Cash and position types include, but are not limited to, equities, fixed income, OTC derivative positions (swaps, swaptions, FXs, and), and collateral. The roles and responsibilities will include actively executing data validation controls and related reconciliations by ensuring the Investment book of record is reconciled with the custodian and manager. The position will be responsible for carrying out other controls including some specific to cash, position reconciliations, and exception management processes ensuring that AXA XL Portfolio data is in line with custodians, counterparties, and other prime record holders every day. The team member will liaise with data vendors, and other internal investment functions like Fixed Income, Risk and Strategy team, Investment Accounting, and Treasury to resolve data-related issues. Your primary upward interaction will be with a direct supervisor or team lead and other Investment Functions across various geographical locations. In this role, you need to analyze and solve moderately complex problems. DISCOVERyour opportunity What will your essential responsibilities include . Review reference data attributes of Fixed Income Bonds (ABS, MBS, Corporate Bonds Term loans, Sovereign Bonds), Listed Equity, Private Credit, and Private Equity and work with data vendor & and accounting team to record accurate data points across systems. . Analyze Investment holdings reports, and review key data points like Security Classifications, Ratings, Analytics, book yields, etc. . Understand Data models, data flows, and end-to-end solutions and processes. . Establish a good understanding of data feeds from market data providers like Bloomberg etc. . Identify defects in data and ensure they are logged appropriately and work with relevant teams to ensure resolution. . Support and liaise for new data requirements for internal and external reporting, including various regulatory reportings like BSCR and Solv II. . Maintain Price and NAV Summary for Hedge Fund book based on fund administrator statements. . Collaborate across various internal teams like Fixed Income, Risk,Reporting, and external vendors, Custodians, and other data providers. . Perform the monthly CRDB reporting build-up process to AXA Group. . Leverage tools like Power BI to automate manual processes and controls. . Perform reconciliation of Custody vendor and asset manager invoices. . Handle data-related queries self-directly and troubleshoot to provide desired solutions and actively participate in new controls development. . Perform system-to-system reconciliation across systems to ensure data consistency. . Communicate effectively across the ladder when discussing the data issues and addressing the ad hoc queries received from other teams. . Perform other duties as and when assigned by the manager and help the manager achieve the desired goal for a period. Bachelor\'s/Master\'s degree in Finance/Computer. . Relevant experience in back office operations in the financial services industry. . Working knowledge of financial markets & and asset management-related processes and data. . Good understanding of data management processes including defining Data validation rules, Data exceptions monitoring, and handling. . Ability to understand and work with data, including creating alignment among various data sources. . Excellent communication skills required to interact with internal colleagues and external vendors to resolve queries or complete a task at hand. . Outstanding experience in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. . Good knowledge of capital market and Investment instruments with the respect to global financial environment. Desired Skills and Abilities: . Must have robust analytical skills with a technical bent of mind. . Excellent organizational and time management skills. . Prior experience in working on systems like Bloomberg would be an advantage. . Knowledge of any BI tool is an advantage, preferably Power BI. . CFA / FRM (Level -1) preferable (not mandatory). . Requires minimal supervision and can work self-directly to complete the given task and proactively reach out to the respective team to seek solutions when required. . Any work experience in VBA/SQL (basic or advanced) would be preferable. . Must be detail-conscious, technically motivated, creative, and user-oriented. . Ability to work with huge volumes of data. .
