Job Description


Position Summary with Job Responsibilities The role of DGM S&A would be mainly responsible to recommend tax strategies which are aligned to business objectives. He/ She would be responsible for conducting risk assessment of business operations, identify new & existing tax positions & communicate its potential impact to stakeholders. In addition to advising on indirect tax issues he/she would be responsible for liaising with the government authority and also lead key efficiency initiatives such as optimization of working capital management of indirect tax function. Education CA Final Work Experience To work as SPOC of CoE for allocated business units and group companies Study, examine and advise w.r.t tax implications of strategic/expansion decisions and new projects of company as well as event based changes (e.g. new tax laws/new government policies) & its impact on the organization Present periodic reports related to tax planning, strategy review, risk assessment to senior management & manage escalations (e.g. design and periodically release dashboard for monitoring progress of activities such as Tax efficiency, blockage of working capital at locations etc.) Constant evaluation of new tax technologies and identification of improvements opportunities (e.g. developing business case) Review of agreement for sourcing and new sales contract, to help business team understand the tax implications Regular interaction with senior in-house personnel/external consultants for ensuring timely reviews & approvals of position paper Support and advice around tax related aspects to internal customers viz., sales, billing and collections, product, wherever the Operations support team is unable to answer queries Proactive business partnering with GDC, regional co-coordinators, business & finance functions by way of query resolution Participation in tax issues, policies and positions thru\' SIAM, CII etc. Leading the L&D initiatives for Business & IDT function - L&D programs, Knowledge sharing with Dealers/Vendors, issue of Dealer/Vendor Bulletin, GST Manual. Development and delivery of employee training programs (e.g. New amendments/tax laws, Risk management trainings etc.) Conducting Monthly IDT Regional /Plant Reviews Periodic Tax Health Checkup audit of Regions for record retention & other compliance Tax Business Process review of each process for business units.
