Purpose of the position

b.What will happen if there is no one in the position (no one performs the work)?
A.To facilitate the optimum uptime of Engine Assembly line machines & equipment\'s & Engine Testing Beds by monitoring the timely execution of various machine maintenance activities (PM, TPM, Safety etc.) through the maintenance teams in order to achieve reliable operation of machines /equipment
B.Managing the Maintenance activities in Engine Assembly & Testing Area , Leader to drive the management goals , Non availability of Person will impact the maintenance process and performance, increase in revenue / Service cost

Financial : VME budget-
Inventory- Machine Spares Inventory Revenue- Annual Revenue budget based on production, AMC cost

Key Responsibilities:

1 DWM :
1. Review the breakdown maintenance reports and take necessary actions to maximize the uptime of machines on a daily basis
2. Review and finalize the Preventive Maintenance schedule based on the specific machine requirements & breakdown action plan
3. Review the Predictive Maintenance process on a weekly basis
4. Plan for machine reconditioning in case of repetitive breakdown & deterioration of machine
5. Review the MIS highlighting adherence to targets and take necessary corrective actions on a monthly basis % Uptime

2 Execution of Machine Maintenance:
1. Analyse the breakdowns and plan for counter measures in case of repetitive breakdowns on a weekly basis
2. Take necessary actions (Kaizen, skill improvements etc.) to reduce repair time for machines through and review progress on a monthly basis

3New Projects & Expansions:
1. Provide technical specifications to the Planning team prior to procurement of machines based on the past breakdown trends, new safety & quality requirements
2. Conduct technical assessment (provision for insurance spares, warranty, service support etc) of the supplier along with the Planning department prior to commercial negotiations and vendor finalization by the concerned department
3. Participate in DAP (Design Approval Process) discussions and finalize the facilities layout and plan along with Planning & CPED Departments; Provide feedback on past performance and highlight concerns for necessary corrective actions
4. Conduct inspections & trials at the supplier location prior to delivery
5. Monitor the execution of machine installation & commissioning activities on a daily basis
6. Conduct the trials on new machines and review the snag point closure status on a weekly basis along with the planning Department
7. Verify various reports (snag point closure status, machine geometrical accuracy reports and quality related reports) and take the handover from the Planning Department for regular operations % Adherence to timelines
