The Role: Our entire platform is hosted on AWS, and the heart and Core of our platform is based on MYSQL databases. as of today, we have 100+ database service handling several TBs of transactional data, and this could grow 100X in the next few years. We are looking for a database developer to help us scale our database platform through optimizing queries across application and reports. Some of the key responsibilities of the role would be: . Work with application teams to write better queries and optimize poor performing queries. . Work with reports and analytics teams to design appropriate indexes and write most optimal queries. . Develop triggers add database events for specific use cases. . Build systems for data migration. . Identify blocked transactions and deadlocks and work with engineering team to resolve them. Requirements: . 1+ years of experience in developing database applications and reports. . Expert in SQL- preferably on MYSQL, but other databases also okay as long as you are open to work on MYSQL. . Hands on experience in query tuning for applications, APIs and reports. . Expertise in developing database procedures, triggers and events. . Excellent communication skills. Why Should You Apply .
